Chiefs voice concerns over Ariz. law Top cops hold hourlong,

WASHINGTON — Arizona's new immigration law and similar proposals in other states would lead to an increase in crime, some police chiefs from around the country told Attorney General Eric Holder in an hourlong meeting Wednesday.

The chiefs told the attorney general that having to determine whether a person is in the United States illegally will break down the trust that police have built in communities and will divert law enforcement resources away from fighting crime.

If that happens, "we will be unable to do our jobs," said Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck. "Laws like this will actually increase crime, not decrease crime."

Tucson Police Chief Roberto Villasenor said the requirements of the new law are so burdensome that "we doubt the federal government can even handle the numbers of people we will bring to them" on immigration status.

Read the article and then see the comments from LEOs from around the country. AG Holder and his gang staged this event for mass media to foist on the public. Don't forget to read the comments from the cops.

Examples: " When I started in '65 the feds paid us a bounty of $25 a head on wets; then it was reduced to $15 and finally $3 and next INS refused to take them from our jail (in San Antonio/Bexar Co.)so we were told do not arrest them unless they've committed another crime besides illegal entry. Now look what we've got. These liberals still don't get it. Hang in there AZ, I'm praying TX follows your lead. Detener los mojados!"

"I'm a MN LE officer that is disgusted to see that the Mpls (yes, definately a liberal 'sanctuary city'!) chief even attended this political masquerade promoted by the goverment media! Hang in there AZ LE brothers and sisters! (Is there talk of secession yet!?!?)Thanks to Arikona and others on the front line weighing in on this. You've got backing from this fellow American officer and many more from the north! God Bless! "Quit bitching, kissing ass, and do your DAMN job SO CALLED COPS, or leave it to us who can. Doesn't get any simpler than than! I'm black and have to show I.D.& have been over here 300 yrs, the white man has to show I.D. and has been over just as long as well as the Indians who came over here before us all and all of us has to show I.D. so why do others feel they don't have to show I.D., abide by our laws, and have the absolute nerve to act as if though we owe them something???? And to have a spineless kiss ass president let a man the Mexican President for that matter disrespect America to our face? Point blank if you're legit and have nothing to worry about what's the PROBLEM???? People are making it harder and harder for cops like me to do my job.... Killing part is it's from fellow brothers & sisters.

Our local sheriffs deputies enforced federal law for two years, then Obama cut their detention funds and stopped taking the caught ones off their hands.

And no one complained.

If the "Chiefs" are worried about AZ law, then they better start putting pressure on the politicians who reside up there in the District of Corruption to remove the identical FEDERAL law. Just not enforcing it is just plain wrong - in a country that prides itself as being a nation of laws, you don't get to choose which ones you like and which ones you will not enforce. That is tyranny.

Why isn't taking an oath to uphold the laws of the land and defend the Constitution under false pretenses, an impeachable offense? Or they should be recalled from their public "service" office at a minimum - every last one of these "chiefs".

As they said in AZ when the volcano erupted - there are twelve "chiefs" who oppose it and thousands of law enforcement officers who support it. Guess who the old dying lying lame stream media like to quote for their "news" stories, so-called.

They probably are; but the main thing is they are showing themselves to be fools.

We just need to keep moving forward until this disease is wiped out.

It’s more important to have a potentially good rapport with illegals in your area than to enforce the laws against them?

Boycott LA, folks. Just say, “No.”

“Laws like this will actually increase crime, not decrease crime.” . . .Probably because illegals are fleeing AZ and moving to LA????????

FOX exposed these people yesterday.

All the “Chiefs” belong to a liberal consortium of police Chiefs with a far left agenda,

See: http://www.policeforum.org/

Apparently screwball Holder has been holding meetings with these bastards for some time now, long before this last most notorious session.

A corrupt media and a corrupt government are partners in crime against US citizens. If this isn’t treason, then what is?

Careful with this report. . . .

Is this not the same "Progressives" police officer group which Glenn Beck outed yesterday?

If so, then theirs are carefully orchestrated views to pollute and further bias the media and citizens against the Arizona law.

Freepers need to get on this in every state to publicize the truth as to just who this group really represents.

This is why I emphasized reading the comments from Law Enforcement Officers. This is media and government fraud perpetrated on the public and these crooks are getting away with it. The one cop even addresses secession.

In northern California, I was a paralegal riding with the INS patroling around with the local cops on routine drug busts, looking for Mexican dealers. But all the illegals standing on the corners they passed by or in the apartment houses they raided, were never asked for papers. But I witnessed ordinary US citizens who were subjected to ID examinations and body/home searches. The illegals had more rights than the citizens under the Constitution. I asked the INS why they did this: They told me it wasn`t their job; they and the local cops were only going after after drug dealer convictions. If the INS did go after one illegal in an apartment house, they would completely ignore the other 99% illegals living in the same apartment building even though I would point them out to them because the Legal Aid Society was helping the illegals in traffic arrests. What a bunch of losers!

You are correct about the agenda of this group, and citizens in every state need to be apprised of that fact.

Apparently, the Administration is carefully orchestrating its multiple prongs of information control to justify whatever agenda it wishes to impose on the states and the people.

So, in a nutshell, these Chiefs don't want to do their sworn duty.

More reasons to support Arizona. I live in the midwest, but US citizens in AZ are my brothers too.

They are experts at trying to manipulate public opinion. This skill has been honed to a high art in Mayor Daley’s corrupt Chicago.

But a wise man once said you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time - and Rasmussen polling is bearing that out.
