Has the Daily Telegraph turned into Britain's anti-Palin paper? This young man knew exactly what he was doing - except that he was not expert enough to cover his own tracks. He has been rightly convicted and is now waiting for the sentencing. Hopefully he'll get far more than just a slap on the wrist. But what now for the Daily Telegraph? Maybe off to Alaska to defend the stalker who has just moved in next to the Palins.

Don't I just love that silent editing?

This article talks an awful lot about how clever he was to sidestep security measures, but not so much on how stupid he was to get caught and face tough consequences while gaining nothing but noteriety (not the good kind).

As Kernell’s friend Brett Ballinger - sitting in the quad of the university - asked: ‘What are they trying to push on him? Did any of them ever sit down and ask, “How did he really hurt these people and is it worth us going and destroying his life?’”

Yeah...like your esteemed VP says, it’s a big f*****g deal.

Brett, let me put it this way for you. I do want his life destroyed. I do want him to spend time in ass-banging prison. I do want him kept from even the closest glimmer of matriculating to the Democrat ranks of 'operatives'.....In my opinion, them bubbas in prison will go ape for his curly red hair.....and his privileged elitist Democrat ass deserves it.

As someone who does not think that Palin has the resume to be a Republican president yet, I still think that this kid should receive the appropriate punishment for violating the letter and spirit of the law.

He did it either for fame or politics. It was unethical, immoral, and sleazy.

‘There was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped,’ he told them.

Clear, malicious intent, despite what this sniveling rag wants people to believe.

Unfortunately the Daily Telegraph which once upon a time was a very good conservative (both large and small “c” conservative) paper has gone to the dogs, at least when it comes to reports from the USA.

It was not that long ago when the paper’s resident US reporter was Ambrose Evans-Pritchard. Old FReepers will remember his dogged sleuthing regarding the Vince Foster, OKC and other Clintonesque affairs. Now Ambrose E-P has been replaced by Alex Spillius and Bobbie Johnson. No they wouldn’t have noted how stupid Kernell was to get caught.

And as for the moral of snooping in other peoples’ mails - well, no, morals are for Hicks and Hillbillies, according to MSM.

Did he bother to sit down and ask "Is FRAUD against the law?" or "Is IDENTITY THEFT against the law?" or "Does it matter whether or not I 'really hurt these people' when I decide to commit felony crimes?" Apparently he didn't. As for Kernell's deeply intellectual friend Brett and his inquiries: Your little punk-ass friend broke several laws with his little adventure, and he did so in a way that it was very easy to document and prove unequivocably.

“is it worth us going and destroying his life”

It is not us who are destroying his life but him. He knew he was breaking the law and now he must accept what he chose for himself. The law is the law. Just ask the illegal aliens.

This article is just one lie after another. He was not a poor innocent good kid who accidentally hacked into her site. His family were part of the Obama campaign machine and they were looking to damage Sarah and help win the election for the Democrats. Neither he nor his family have shown remorse. There was an organized campaign attack Sarah Palin in any way possible. This kid’s family were just part of the campaign.

Once he knew Palin’s address, all he had to do was guess the answers to a handful of ‘secret’ security questions about her – all of which, if she had answered them truthfully, could be easily deduced.

Lesson: NEVER answer security questions with the real answers. It's like begging people to break into your accounts.

His Daddy is a big time Democrat in that state.

This kid had an agenda from the first jump.

Kernell, meanwhile, faces up to 20 years in prison. Experts suggest that the sentence will be significantly lighter, but the decision (which is not expected for at least three months) ultimately lies at the mercy of the judge, Thomas Phillips

Convicted criminal Kernell merits prison time.

During the last election that saw the Usurper take office, I wanted to print up stickers that said: “Computer Hackers for Obama”.
