Joe McGinniss' Book, Slated for 2011 Release, Is Being Written in Wasilla, Alaska, next door to Sarah Palin's home!
The former Alaska governor has a new neighbor and it's not someone she is happy about. Author and investigative reporter Joe McGinniss , who has written critically of Palin in the past, rented the house next to the former GOP vice presidential candidate so he can write a book about her.
The Palins , whose ever-expanding compound is bustling with construction, are putting up a new fence that they hope will block McGinniss' view. Palin took to Facebook Wednesday to complain about McGinniss.
"Yes, that Joe McGinniss. Here he is about 15 feet away on the neighbor's rented deck overlooking my children's play area and my kitchen window," the former governor wrote. "We're sure to have a doozey to look forward to with this treasure he's penning. Wonder what kind of material he'll gather while overlooking Piper's bedroom, my little garden, and the family's swimming hole?"
Palin also called into conservative commentator Glenn Beck's radio show Wednesday to express her frustration. "He's an odd character," she said. "If you look at his history, and the things that he's written and that the things he's been engaged in, but you know as they say, fences make for good neighbors and Todd and his buddies started the fence yesterday and it's looking good."
In 2009, McGinniss wrote a critical piece on Palin and her natural gas pipeline plan for Portfolio, a Conde Nast publication. His book, tentatively titled "Sarah Palin's Year of Living Dangerously," is expected to be released in 2011.

you know... i was thinking about the type of personality that would drop everything in MA and move to the middle of Alaska in order to write a hit piece on someone they despise.
the more i thought about it... the more i realized how looney this guy is. on the surface, we think he’s just a writer and wants to get some dirt. but he crossed the line when he moved, especially renting the house next door. i’m fairly concerned about the Palin’s safety.
someone like this has rationalized moving 4000+ miles away from everything he knows in order to destroy, through his writing, the person he sees as a serious threat to his political mindset.
now... how much of a jump would it be for such a person to rationalize taking it a step further? what happens if Sarah’s impact starts to really hurt his political heroes? would he ‘martyr’ himself to protect his freak show of a political ideology?

I watched this and was amused that this POS would demand his privacy. Of course at the end of the segment all Robin Roberts can say is talk about how this would make a good SNL skit. She apparently wasn’t the least bit bothered that this person could peak into the childrens bedrooms. I wonder how Robin Roberts would feel if that was done to her.

Build a tall privacy fence and some towers with VERY powerful lights for “security purposes” Have them on and aimed towards the fence to prevent any security threats.
Setting up some outside speakers with mariachi band music playing any time anyone is outside might also go a long way towards protecting the security of the Palin clan.

You’re raised some serious and good questions. The authorities are watchful, but we’ve experienced ‘watchful’ before and this guy McGinniss is weird beyond strange and obsessed.
The fence doesn’t go high enough to prevent the creep from using an infrared camera to watch the goings on in the upper floor.
It’s harrassment plain and simple.
Legal , but certainly unethical.
Sarah should thank her former neighbor who rented the house to this POS. That neighbor isnt any better than the stalker.
