To me, the absence of a “gay ban” implies that a DRAFT is no longer enforceable! They can’t pack you in with a bunch of gays. Men should therefore have the choice to serve with females, if the gays can choose to “serve” with men.

This may be the reason Obama decided to be in Chicago on Memorial Day instead of Arlington National Cemetery in the company of veterans and Armed Forces members.

It’s hard to imagine him, after this, being received there in a warm, and truly respectful, manner

This is an utter denigration of the U. S. military. It is stunning—and disgusting—in its attempt to nullify an agreed-on study by the military itself on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and any needed changes in the policy.
