There are rumors on the winds in Afghanistan that funding for the Taliban is funneled from the US government. At this point, just a rumor. There are a few top theories that are thought by the Afghan nationals.

ALL Afghanis look at Americans as walking ATMs. When we hand out money to locals, they are frequently shaken down by the local Taliban. At least 20% of the Afghan economy is the result of bribes. You can’t move anything anywhere without payoffs to warlords and militias and Taliban and Afghan police or all, they are often one and the same.
Sad to say ... it might be true. There are all sorts of evil afoot in our government annuals ... too big.

Response: I do not know about evidence or the lack thereof. However, I would not be suprised if some elements of the U.S. government were found to be financing our nations enemies. In addition, there is a lot of heroin cash flowing in and out of that country.
What better way to bankrupt us than to pay for both sides of a war?
That way the traders (short sellers) can make money coming and going.

If this were ever proven to be true... I can’t fathom it. It’s one think to pay off local warlords, but if it were actually proven that the gov’t is fuding the enemy in order to have a reason to keep us in the region, that would spark a revolution here, and at minimum a military coup.
Anyone not understanding that Obama is an actual jihadist decapitation strike on the US is as blind as a bat. A lot of people are perfectly aware. There will be no revolution.

Propaganda is every governments tool. The pic is a gunshop in Pakistan (Swat area I believe). The weapons are US M-16’s. It may be rumor or lie. But then again, black ops using enemy combatants is nothing new, even with American governments.
Yes, our gov. has done these things. However, having M-16’s in their possession doesn’t mean they are supplied by us. The Mexican army is supplied with some American weapons which end up in the hands of narco-terrorists. I doubt there’s a weapon out there that isn’t sold on the black market. It didn’t take too many guys to supply the IRA with AR-15’s.
