Generations celebrate as Jeb Bush's son gets married
Miami Herald ^ | May 29, 2010 | JOSE CASSOLA

Three generations of Bushes descended on a Brickell area church Saturday for a wedding and Memorial Day weekend family reunion of the Republican Party's most enduring dynasty.

The two former presidents -- George Herbert Walker Bush and George W. Bush -- were on hand, along with the former first ladies to watch as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's youngest son, John Ellis Bush Jr., 26, known as ``Jebby,'' married Coral Gables resident Sandra Algudady.

Don’t agree — I think W will some day recognized as one of our best presidents.

Great pixs. I was surprised to see the groom’s mother wearing black to her son’s wedding.

It said they were married at a Melkite-rite Catholic Church, so she´s probably Lebanese. She looks it.

She´s very pretty, and her new husband is very good looking. Kind of refreshing after the strange ¨First Family¨ we have had to put up with for the last year or so.

Pres. Bush did a remarkable job under very tough conditions. I believe history will be much kinder to him than the ungrateful citizens of his time.

I wonder if his nephew’s marrying a gal of Lebanese descent will endear “W” any more to that other Lebanese beauty, Helen Thomas ?

Are you kidding me?!!!! W will go down as the Republican's version of Jimmy Carter. He, and others like him - such as McAmnesty, are the reason we have the most liberal president in U.S. history (aside from FDR) and, as a silver lining, the reason the Tea Party was reborn in the 21'st century.

Please.

He didn’t deserve the opprobrium heaped on him, that is certainly true.

But he expanded Medicare, furthered the role of the feds in education, bloated the budget deficit, tried to give amnesty to illegals and gerally refused to take on the left head-on.

On the positive side, he gave us two VERY good SC justices, which are very strong points in his favor. One demerit, though, for trying foist Harriett Myers on us.

He handled the War on Terror well also.

Bottom line: C+

Wich admittedly is better than the F- performace we’re getting from the present occupant. But great? Hardly.

Hank

I wonder if she’s a lib on abortion and homosexuality like the other Bush women.

Jeeeezzzz...can't ya just drop the politics for even a little bit to wish the young couple well. There really is more to life than politics.

Yeah, that Bush/Hasteret/Lott era was just fantastically conservative. The 9/11 intel debacle, no plan for post Baghdad, firing the poor smuck that said the occupation might be expensive, TARP, debts on future generations forever, mucking about in the Insane Clown Posse of Afghanistan, becoming debt junkies to China, open borders, hand in hand with Kennedy spending.

Next to the current president George Bush was the second coming of Ronald Reagan (that’s right, they called Reagan inept, too.) Obama has given new meaning to the word and brought “inept” to an art form...

I would not wear black either, but apparently it is “tres chic” to do so. I have been to several weddings where the bridesmaids wore black as well. If either of my gorgeous almost thirty-year-old twins ever gets married, I will certainly NOT be wearing black!

Most of the comments on the Miami Herald are terrible! Since they do not know either the bride or the groom personally, why not just wish them much joy and happiness just as the ones on this board will wish Chelsea Clinton later this summer?
