Please do not compare his cause to the Founders cause.

Wow, who knew we have our own resident "4 Minute Man" on FR>

In my area I see the Census hiring crews having meetings at Starbucks quite a lot — every month or so for the past year and more.

I've been thinking about the O'Keefe Census factoids since I first saw them today and I'm going to have to agree with you on the time sheets, long lunches, and travel time slam, thefactor. There may at times be some training time slop in the training sessions, but from experience I think it balances out over the course of a Census phase.

None of the people I worked with was able to stopwatch the operation to the second, because we were getting stuff done. My educated guess is an UNDER, rather than an OVER.

I think O'Keefe needs a more meaty stew than this thin gruel. I know his former supervisors are in trouble as we type. They'll probably never eat lunch in Censustown again.

I'll make an observation - O'Keefe could have just written down the hours he felt he worked. HE filled out his own D-308s. The supervisor who counter-signs the enumerator's D-308 checks for data entry errors, for the most part, and perhaps egregious time & mileage errors that may be questioned by the AMA.

I still have a bone to pick with you about O'Keefe, thefactor. If we play by your Political Rollerball rules, the Left wins in a walkaway. All they have to do is make sure every conservative "playa" is snared in the net of the limitless lawbook so well described in Atlas Shrugged. Oh, wait - the same rules DON'T apply to the Left, do they? They couldn't care LESS if one of their stars was a multiple felon, could they?

And no, I usually don't decide what laws I will follow and which I won't.

Aren't you the "good German!"

If you can live with that, go ahead.
