Al and Tipper Gore, whose playful romance enlivened Washington and the campaign trail for a quarter century, have decided to separate after 40 years of marriage, the couple told friends Tuesday.
In an “Email from Al and Tipper Gore,” the couple said: “We are announcing today that after a great deal of thought and discussion, we have decided to separate.
“This is very much a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration. We ask for respect for our privacy and that of our family, and we do not intend to comment further.”

Wow. Didn’t see that coming. I don’t have much use for either of them, but they’ve always seemed like a couple that would have no problem staying together. Unless there’s some nasty scandal lurking in the weeds, though, I don’t understand why they’d separate, at this stage in their lives and after forty years of marriage. Has Al been sleeping around with Gaia or something?

Apparently Tipper’s carbon footprint was sinking a bit too deeply into the shag carpeting for Al’s taste.

I know. It was the worst I could find in Google images. The rest were all after the cleanup crew had been in to get her suitable for public display. I remember seeing one REALLY skanky shot where she's leaning her forearms on a desk (I think she has a talk show) and it looks like she hasn't bathed in about a month. Stringy greasy hair, gross tatoos (and not all tatoos are gross), and way too skinny. But I couldn't find that one or one like it, and this in the only one I could find with her at least partially in skank dyke mode.
I think Tipper just couldn’t take it anymore.
Imagine sleeping next to that POS for 40 plus years? Dear God, Why she didn’t blow her brains out is the bigger mystery.
