Am I the only FReeper who is beyond tired of the lame “amish” joke every time an atrocity is committed by an illegal or a muslim? It defames a noble sect of Christian people and was never funny in the first place, much less still funny.
the point is that the MSM does not label race or national origin of politically favored groups (altho, in this story you get ‘mexico’ in the 4th graph). but will label groups they are not protecting.
the reference to the amish is sarcastic... as the amish are the most peaceful, upstanding group in the US.
It's funny because it's so obviously ludicrous. The Amish ARE a noble sect of Christian people, and I can't think of any religious group LESS likely to contain scumbags like this rapist illegal ALIEN.
Do you think ANYBODY here takes it seriously ? If they don't, it defames no one - except perhaps the illegal, for his obviously unfavorable comparison to a prominently moral group. The illegal has no more morals than what I flush down the john every morning. And even less value to society.

I’ve never thought it was meant as a joke. In fact, quite the opposite....with the Amish being held in esteem of the highest regard, the antithesis of the bottom feeders...illegals and muslim extremists.
