Boatloads of bloody-minded pacifists
Daily Telegraph ^ | 2nd June 2010 | Andrew Bolt

NOTHING more to be said. Israeli soldiers kill at least nine peace activists trying to ship aid to a starving people. Or, as the front page of The Age screamed yesterday: "Israel kills boat protesters."

End of story. There are riots and protests in London, Paris, New York, Istanbul, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and throughout the Middle East.

The UN whacks Israel and calls for an emergency meeting of the Security Council. From Moscow to Washington, Israel stands utterly friendless. Dangerously alone.

What a coup for those pledged to destroy that tiny Jewish country. How discredited and defenceless Israel seems. Someone couldn't have scripted this any better.

Well, almost no better, because even the journalists most sympathetic to the activists on the ships intercepted by Israel couldn't help but refer, albeit grudgingly, to a couple of untidy details too obvious to ignore.

ABC host Jon Faine, for instance, described these victims of Zionist aggression as "humanitarian activists with a few knives". Er, with knives? Humanitarians? And a strident report in The Age, Australia's most left-wing daily, conceded that video of the Israeli soldiers being lowered on to the ships from helicopters did shows some of the "hundreds of politicians and protesters" on board had offered "signs of resistance".

Here are some of those "signs of the resistance" that report failed to detail.

You see the Israelis, at first brandishing just paint-ball guns, being grabbed as they landed, dragged to the ground, and beaten brutally with pipes and clubs.

On another clip, apparently shot by protesters, a soldier is stabbed in the back, and then in the front. Another soldier is beaten and thrown over the side.

The thing is, you could see this slow motion train wreck coming. You just knew that no matter how humanely and correctly the Israelis handled this, the protesters would push it to violence and then the whole world would blame the Jews.

Many ways exist to disable vessels without effecting seaworthiness.

Many.

Next time they shouldn’t board, just stop the boats dead in the water.

Next time they should torpedo the ship and chum the water with “activists”. Sharks gotta eat.

It occurs to me that the easiest way to discourage these clowns is to get close and shoot the screws off of their boats.

Nope - make the boats and anyone on them dead, and underwater. Jam all communications, completely destroy and sink any such ships. Destroy anything left floating so it sinks. Deny involvement. Let them keep sending artificial reefs. No PR, no acknoledgement, nothing but dead terrorists and their finances sitting on the ocean floor...

After that - offer to send out out search and recovery vessles to assist with finding the missing ships at cost plus 10%.

Isreal will never win the PR war. Their only option is to elimiate or at least minimize potential PR from their enemies while they defend themselves...

Drop some divers off at night.

Clog the sea strainer inlets , they have to shut the engines down or fry them.

Very simple.

Then offer to tow them the port of IDF desire and inspect there!

Interesting op/ed in today's WSJ says that the reason Israel handled it the way they did is "siege fatigue." They are isolated and condemned by the world no matter what they do, so they just don't give a crap anymore about doing things to smooth their image.

Much appreciated.

Some after the fact reporting (by CNN even) makes me even more convinced they need to be sunk since it appears they are doing their best to subvert and sabotage Isreal.

Not sure how to do links:

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/06/02/gaza.raid.activists/index.html?hpt=T2

Intersting snippets:

"the Israeli government is offering to receive the ship's cargo, as it has offered other vessels, if it docks at [Israel's] Ashdod port. The Israeli government will unload the cargo, screen it, and deliver it to Gaza."

An attempt by Israel to deliver the goods from the flotilla that was stopped Monday was rejected, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday.

Palestinian sources confirmed that trucks that arrived from Israel at the Rafah terminal at the Israel-Gaza border were barred from delivering the aid.

There is a lot more in the article, but from my read - looks like someone trying to make a point more than trying to be good samaritans.

Since that is the case - sink 'em and leave no evidence...
