Far more effective than a handgun but a little harder to conceal.

And very hard to stop bare-handed.

Cab driver?

In the U.S., Muslims have taken over the taxi industry....In fact, Muslims driving cabs are circling most of our major airports as I type.

The man said Bird enjoyed foreign holidays, travelling to Thailand each year with friends.

Thailand?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Except for his “friend,” most of the shootings seem to be random.

Very strange.

More from the very detailed London Times chronology:

A neighbour of Derrick Bird, the murder suspect, tells us he is the “last person” he would have expected to be involved in a series of murders.

Mr Wilson says he “never had a problem with him” and he’s “lived in the area for a long time. My son went to school with his son. I’m not sure if he was married. He had a partner at one point but not for several years. Everybody in a 10-15 mile radius would know him, because everyone mixed with him. He was very sociable.

“He’s the last person you’d expect [to do this] - a very, very positive view, into quite a lot of things.

“His son was into motorbikes and everything, into scuba diving. Most of his taxi business was in Whitehaven... so he’s well known there too.”
