The top photo is a trick -
Roger Moore never appeared in a James Bond series movies with a silverbirch Aston Martin DB5
That is a mucho enlarged and modified (fuzzy) photo from “CANNONBALL RUN” where Moore did a parody of himself as James Bond
He drove a Volvo P-1800S coupe in “THE SAINT” in the TV series (THE SAINT - audio linked here)
Buffed my 4 AA batteries with copper pad - tomorrow must stock up on AA batteries for my wireless keyboards and all my remotes - WebTV, cable [AAA], TVs
Oh yeah, I forgot about your batteries that you wrote about.
Roger Moore never appealed to me for some reason. Might be good looking but ‘something’ I don’t care for about him.
Most of the Bond songs are pretty to hear but many have cruel words and descriptions.
.
Lyrics again!
It tough coming up with fitting spy action film lyrics!
Worst of the worst:
Madonna singing “DIE ANOTHER DAY”
Roger Moore played it tongue-in-cheek
I fell asleep near the start of “THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN” recently - a Roger Moore as 007 flickeroo
The villain - played by one of Ian Fleming’s cousins
I seem to be able to just relax and allow the starring James Bond in each 007 film to do his thing -
Odd that the Aston Martin DBS in “ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE” was not fitted with bullet-proof glass and armored body panels
Diana Rigg did not fare well.....
Perhaps women pay more attention to lyrics. The boom, boom, vroom, vroom, repeat, repeat songs are for the guys, lol. Sometime, go read the lyrics to Thunderball!
Die Another DAy lyrics are crazy.
Yeah, I made a slideshow of how Diana Rigg fared.
You are lucky that you can watch repeat movies and enjoy them. I bought 6 new books yesterday, am going through books like crazy.

ON HER MAJESTY*S SECRET SERVICE was one of the best Bond flicks
Choice or cars in 007 movies could have been mucho better
The red Ferrari 355 GTS in GOLDENEYE would have been better if the earlier less powerful Ferrari 308 GTS (Magnum PI) had been used in the DB5 chase
The new (and bloated) red *71 Mustang MACH I used in DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER should have been a red *69 or *70 Mustang MACH I Super Cobra Jet 428ci - *64 to *70 are the classic Mustang styles that Ford now is basing new Mustangs on - See the huge auction prices at the Barrett-Jackson Auctions
The bright green Jaguar XKR used in DIE ANOTHER DAY should have been a modified BRG Jaguar TYPE-E Series III V12 - fitted with twin-turbos
Ian Fleming*s books were filled with Bond updating his vintage classic Bentley*s engines and adding superchargers
Car buffs love nostagia and Retro-Mods
But then movie producers are not all geniuses - and Ford was supplying the Astons, Jags, and Ford movie cars
The DAD cars had Ford Explorer 4WDs fitted with Mustang BOSS 302 engines
Hiring some pro-Grand Am drivers would have been better - and safer
Everything was made ‘excessive’ in the movies I believe. You are the car expert but whoever made each movie wanted the car they wanted in each of them. Movie makers don't stick to the details of the book writers I've found.
I always liked Sean Connery, only for his good looks I guess. I haven't ever read up on Connery's life but James Bond was not an especially admirable man. Flemming even wrote that himself.
