Now if you must ignore or discard Scripture to make your belief system work, then that certainly is your choice, but at least be honest about it. The fact is that the prophetic Scripture is there, and it’s either God telling the truth about events that have never happened before which means they will sometime in the future, or it’s God screwing up in not letting us know all of this happened already in 70AD.
I haven’t observed them hereon being honest with themselves . . . much less with Scripture, with God and with the rest of us.
Because they’ve chosen to believe anything and everything other than the simple truth of God’s word and when they see people who are not only so certain of what they believe but can provide concrete evidence of the truth of what they believe, it threatens them and the only thing they can do is lash out.
If our beliefs were built on a foundation of sand, and our beliefs were, on a daily basis, being shown to be absolutely un-Biblical and false, we’d probably be upset too.
If you base your life on a false belief system, and it starts to collapse, what do you do then?

I’ve read most of Joel’s books and writings. I totally agree with his assessment of Islam and how it is a part of the endtime scenario. I’m sorry he gave up his blog which was very informative concerning Turkey’s Islamic role. He had some really interesting interviews that he videotaped with an Turkish Islamic writer and evangelist for the coming Madhi/antichrist. Soon after those interviews he withdrew from blogging. Sorry to see him do so. I’m sure he had good reason to do so... probably threats.

I fail to see in all of this why people are getting excessively worked up over a comparative statement issued by a rabbinical council with no particular governing/determining authority...
I do not argue against the Gog/Magog prophecies, nor those biblical prophecies which are clearly and demonstrably related...but the rabbinical council did NOT surmise that this WAS a fulfillment, nor even the beginning of a fulfillment of any portion of any of those prophecies.
They made a comparative finding, stating that “this LOOKS LIKE” the Gog and Magog prophetic utterances.
The anti/non-jews and anti/non-Christians need to trim in their waste-of-breath criticisms, and the hyperventilating believers need to put away the winged shoes for the time being...
While remaining attentive and decidedly vigilant.
I believe the prophetic clock is ticking, and certainly has been since Christ ascended into heaven, it has been ticking louder and with renewed urgency and purpose since the re-formation of the state of Israel, but...
it is the Lord’s clock, figuratively speaking, not ours.
It is within His will and keeping to advance it apace, to constrain its progress, or accelerate it with sudden and sure intent.
IMHO, there are still extremely key pieces of the final “puzzle” which are out of place or lacking altogether. Not simply pieces which are present but that we do not notice - no, important elements that are absent. I cannot put my finger on all of them, but that said, it takes little imagination to believe they could fall upon this world with terrible speed, and bring woe upon the unprepared.
There ARE too many things IN place to be ignored, discounted, or minimized by believing people possessed of common sense.
It will happen soon enough, but for now, there is no reason to run up the credit cards, or give away one’s worldly assets and go stand on a high hill.
