Same reason so many thugs are attracted to tattoos, violent loud music, and guns. It makes them look tough.

Let’s just ignore these little details because they obviously aren’t forming a pattern or anything. By the way, when other dog bite stories are aired, the same pesky details tend to make themselves available. But irresponsible ownership must just be a coincidental factor in these cases, right?
