Gingrich: There was ‘no humanitarian crisis’ in Gaza [' effort..to undermine...survival of Israel']
Politico ^ | June 01, 2010

Israel faces worldwide condemnation in the aftermath of its raid Monday on a flotilla of Gaza-bound aid ships, which resulted in the death of at least 10 civilian activists. But the Jewish state has its fair share of defenders in the United States.

Asked about the fairness of the raid at a Memorial Day premier of a Korean War documentary yesterday in Washington, D.C., former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told POLITICO:

“There was a deliberate effort to create an unacceptable intrusion, which Turkey should’ve stopped. The Israelis have been very clear about sustaining a blockade of Gaza, and they have every right to sustain a blockade of Gaza. Hamas is actively every day trying to kill Israelis, and as a matter of international law, Turkey should not have allowed that flotilla to go down there.

Turkey is very clearly on the side of the terrorists here. That’s a bad sign, because Turkey has been a good ally of ours in the Middle East. They seem to be going over to the dark side.

What was the problem here? Not enough hate and discontent for Ayers and Dohrn to stir up in Chicago? Things kind of slow, have to stir up international problems?

The “crisis” points out the alliance between Western leftists and Islamic militants.

Gosh, gee whiz, golly. What a terrible humanitarian crisis. No decent aperitif.

Turkey hasn't been much of an ally since 2001. Then mnay countries including Israeland US trying to acknowledge the slaughter by Turkey of more than 1,000,000 Armenians distanced them further. The war in Iraq where we armed the Northern Kurds sure didn't help if one remembers the fear of the Turks over running the Iraqi borders, also they kicked us out of the area for Iraqi flights and blocked our trucks from entering Iraq.

Lets, see something to do about missiles also comes to mind along with their governemnt on the whole not being very "secular' anymore. Turkey is the new badass country of terror on a long list of terror countries.

They’ve got 25 million to kill. I guess their preference is to start with us because most of the Americans they want to kill are armed AND know who they are... less dangerous to try to kill Jews from a distance. Did you see this “talk” by William Ayers?
