Spike Lee Gives Obama The Famous Hollywood Pass

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, filmmaker Spike Lee lashed out against President Bush for his response to the disaster. Lee made an exhausting two part film called When the Levees Broke that was full of misguided information and useless finger pointing at President Bush with full passes given to what felt like everyone else.

Not to our surprise, Lee is giving President Obama the famous Hollywood pass now that it is a liberal’s turn to clean up a mess.

Here is part of the exchange:

“Cooper: People think this is Obama’s Katrina and I don’t think you can compare disasters.

Lee: I think that’s going a little overboard. Where there might be some similarities is the slow response and I don’t know why we’re going to take the word of any oil company, not just BP, because they are about making dollars.”

To be expected, both Lee and Cooper cannot blame our government for a horrendous response when Obama is in office but they will continue for all eternity to hang Bush for the Katrina response. Comparing the two disasters is not “going a little overboard,” it is spot on. Lee can’t bring himself to criticize Obama like he did Bush because there is no way to call this disastrous situation racist.

Lee’s entire career is built on claiming racism in some form and pointing fingers in all the wrong places, which probably explains why his movies don’t make very much money. Our government, regardless of which political party is in power or skin color the president happens to be, needs to take some initiative and responsibility for what is going on.

The point that needs to be made is that the response to the oil spill is horrible and this is just another reason why we can never rely on our government do to anything right. If Lee wanted to “Do the Right Thing,” like he did in his own 1989 film, he would go to the White House and throw a garbage can through their front window.

Spike Lee is this generation’s example of those in Africa who sold other Africans into slavery.

He enriches himself by spewing out propoganda that encourages minorities to hold onto victim attitudes keeping them in this century’s version of slavery. His customers seek more justification for their impotence and buy more of his drival, further enriching him and further enslaving them.

Spike Lee is a detestible creature.

There’s no reason to give the Great CO (community organizer) a pass, he’s failed and failed MISERABLY!

He could have used this to set up training to clean birds, help wildlife clean beaches etc—get certified learning (like a cpr class type deal).

He could have pushed a helpful environMENTAL program!

He could encourage Americans to not skip vacations at the Gulf because of this disaster but increase them!

Come on down and learn, help, get certified...everybody pull together to help America, we fight!

We beat this mess—don’t let it beat us! Clean these beaches fast, with all of us together!

If I were president, I would have had my family down there and cleaning for vacation... learning and leading by example.

He could call on nurseries around the country to get some marsh grasses started for the community and Americans to plant, once a beach is cleaned up.

He has missed a huge opportunity to help, lead and pull us all together.

He FAILED!

Blacks will support Blacks no matter what they do, DC re-elected Marion Barry after he was caught smoking crack with a hooker in a hotel room using his city employee credit card.

They are all about race, that is the irony.

90% (down from 96%) of blacks will vote for Obie in 2012.

The sooner the American people refuse to give credence to the Hollywood Left the better. If the studio owners, who hire and pay big bucks, push their agenda through the stories they buy and the actors they pay a boycott would put a quick stop to it. Are the American people up to such valiant restraint?
