P!
How bad is it?
Some libs are starting to tell the truth....
I am really starting to get scared here.
Ricccccchhhhhhhhhh, is such a little termite. He enabled this kid of stuff non-stop for the Clintons, covers for the current boy genius, and here says the census worker gimmick was a bad idea.
Robert, you haven’t got jack when it comes to street cred.
Reich confuses cause and effect. Politicians and regulators are imposing poor fiscal and monetary policies on the nation together with marxist take-over of industries, killing the economy. The “labor market” suffers as a consequence. The “labor market” is not dragging the country into another recession. Obama and his cohorts in Congress are.
The Recoveryless Recovery,
...and here's what it looks like at my side of the swamp:
The problem is these guys, including Mr. Reich believe that government is the answer...government is crowding out private investment and the Little Dictator is creating a atmosphere of chaos. These reduce private sector expansion...and with the increasing unemployment (real terms) and hence lower aggregate demand we are seeing our economy slip back into a deeper recession than before.
We simply do not have the same tool box to remedy this downturn, we have used up in a very wasteful manner our tool chest. Government spending is not stimulus in and of itself, it is a shift of money from one area of the economy to another.
As long as the democrats continue to take over entire industries, to disrespect the constitution, and to encourage “terrorist” bureaucratic regulatory dictates we will find many companies are unwilling to risk capital for expansion. They will sit back until after the next election and hope for a better environment (Republican win).
As the government increases the public sector debt load...it crowds out money available for the private sector which is much more efficient at economic expansion.
These are scary times, so hunker down, think of ways to create value (not just money) and look for opportunity. I live in a rural area and a young man I have known since he was a baby, who is not in his twenties is supplementing and strengthening his income making capability by doing maintenance and restoration work on farm implements. He charges much less than dealers and does a good job. He is a farmer by trade, along with his dad and brother, but he has been realistic in how bad things are (we are in Illinois!) and is doing something to protect himself and his family. Smart young man...he will most assuredly survive and maybe even thrive during this downturn.
That is the sort of thing we all need to do, not count on the government, employers, etc. Count on our own selves and use our knowledge to create value for ourselves...I traded the above young man a years farm rent (I rent my land to him for farming) for restoration of a tractor I have. I am benefiting by creating a higher value (more than the rent would have been)for the asset (tractor), he is benefiting by not having to pay the cash out for the land rental. It is a win win situation. Although I suppose the government loses out on a few bucks of tax money at the end of the year...
When did this midget get a clue. The sicophants are starting to eat their own.
Reich is a true loony-toony, but I like listening to him. He is a dye-in-the-wool democrat.
reich voted for obozo.
Maybe...just maybe...someday we’ll have a 21st century Congress that understands its priority to create and foster an environment where job creation and business growth is seen as an asset to the country...instead of a liability to the accumulation and aggregation of Federal Power.
Patient: But Dr. Reich, that medicine you gave me is making me worse.
Dr. Reich: Well, in that case you better double the dose.
