There was yelling coming from the room...The time of that will nail it. Funny when something disturbs you....we do tend to look at the clock and/or relate it to something we're doing. We're usually pretty good at time....but identification...we stick....

Describe the last person you saw when you walked out of the supermarket yesterday. I can't either....

Which Hollywierd actor do you think is going to be “picked” to play the role of Van der sloot in a movie?

Sean Penn, of course.

".....Wonder if they were the type that were hidden?"

I would think so! Only an idiot would proceed like he did if he knew they were there.

I hope his “dance card is filled” every night he spends in prison.

The irony here is that he would have been far better off copping a plea in Aruba for Holloway’s death. Getting away with that one only helped ensure that he’d meet a tougher form of justice in the end.

Let's pile on and add real insult to injury... Ben Affleck...

Yes, but he strikes me as one of those guys who believes he can get away with anything, pull the wool over anyone’s eyes, just lie, lie, lie...

All of a sudden I can’t remember if I am talking about Vander Sloat or Barack Obama.

Now if they get a conviction it's probably gonna be 20 years

While that might be more satisfying in the long run, don't they have the death penalty? Why should the Peruvian taxpayers pay to support his sorry ash, no matter how badly, for 20 years or more?

No, they don’t have the death penalty for murder, only treason.

Now, in this case , even if he got 5 years, I would say it is a death penalty.

Too bad Anthony Perkins (”Psycho”) isn’t still young. He would be perfect as the role of Van Der Sloot

They aren’t going to be supporting him.

From what I saw on Nat Geo, you get provided one bowl of dirty rice per day prepared in an unsanitary kitchen. Anything else you need must be bought with money obtained from outside the prison, you must also pay rent to the gang that runs your cell block, and all sorts of other fun things like that.

Beyond that, he’s twenty two, he’s a gringo, his family cut him off, his dad is dead, and he is low on money and needs good lawyer very badly.

In other words, I think he’s done for.

What's really noticeable to me is that she has no purse or anything with her, her hair is a mess and she's apparently "silent".

That would be 3 things that are "out of order".

Did you notice the strange smile he gave the guy when handed the key to the room? Eeeery! And she just shuffled all the way to the room with her head down like she was out of it.

Actually, except for his height, he has a strong resemblance to Matt Damon...

An experienced profiler stated the other night she doesn't think Van der Sloot is a serial killer at all. She said her analysis shows he has the earmarks of a date-rape killer which is something different in profiling classifications. She amplified on this and I must say I believe she proved her point.

As far as being in the Peruvian jail, money from his mother and/or his family in Holland can make life a little easier for her son.

The way the Peruvian jails are run (right out of the Dark Ages, btw) is that prisoners with cash can buy food and other comforts, plus, in many cases, protection.

As heinous as he is, I doubt the authorities will not allow anything bad such as rape to happen to their extremely high-profile boarder. I would rather imagine that Peru, as a country, doesn't need or want to appear primitive or barbaric.

Van der Sloot will not have a bed of roses by any means, but he will be shielded in some way or another from being beaten, raped or murdered.....despite all the pre-trial babbling, speculation, and hoping to the contrary.
