Ms. Thomas expressed mild regret for her remarks, saying they do not reflect her "heartfelt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance." She should have heeded her own counsel. Ms. Thomas' comments embodied contempt and intolerance. They were a stark message of hatred from the dean of the White House Press corps, the kind of toxic speech that disqualifies someone from a position of public trust. She now enters her long-overdue retirement, tainting a half-century of White House reporting with the memory of a vile 30-second rant.

Most American “progressives” of her era think national socialism was the way to go ... and they never outgrew their anti-Semitism. She deserves what she brought upon herself ... she should have gotten it about 48 years ago though.

Her peak came in the 1970s. Somewhere in the Regan-era...she became highly judgmental. She’d take one basic fact, and then fluff three hundred words of judgement around that one fact. I think she was coasting through the 80’s...and heading downward for the past two decades. The funny thing is that the AP paid her probably around $100k a year....for a 2-star wannabe journalist ability.

yes it was. Brit Hume discussed this a few hours ago also. I am glad to see her forced out in disgrace. she still might get some sort of retirement gala thrown for her by a bunch of her elitist scum DC pals spoogin’ all over her with accolades, but it will not be the same.
