Rather than paint with a broad brush, I think one needs to examine the reasons why people use pot.

If it is used to relax a little after work, to heighten enjoyment of a music concert, etc, I don't see it as particularly harmful. But if it used to escape from reality, or to cope with reality, then I think you might have a problem.

I know about methadone, have a friend that’s on it. He’s screwed up, but I’ve seen potheads in just as bad or worse shape mentally after awhile. Talking in the nuthouse for life.
