I was in Turkey at Incirlik on temorary duty. I hated every moment I spent in that place.

Time to demote Turkey from NATO. Otherwise, Iran knows everything NATO knows. Duh.

I was in Turkey at Incirlik on temorary duty. I hated every moment I spent in that place.

Ha! I spent 90+ days there TDY as part of Operation Provide Comfort in the Summer of 1992. The locals seemed fairly friendly, but not trustworthy (despite the constant George (HW) Bush number one, down with Saddam greetings!). The availability of alcohol and air conditioned tents (and unusually high food per diem)was the only thing making that place bearable. I really felt sorry for the people based there on full year tours.

Hopefully the rest of the West will wake up now, and see that Turkey is no ally of non-Islamic countries.
