The violent left has attacked conservative activists protesting big government, big spending and big bailout scheme proposed by Congress.
Tea Party activists in Tampa and St. Louis were beaten by left wing activists earlier this year.
Add Greensboro to that list. This week, a group of local citizens in North Carolina protesting the Financial Reform bill and the Durbin BP Bailout amendment were accosted and then physically attacked by a left-wing activist who blamed George Bush for America’s ills.

Why wasn’t there an officer there in the first place? We know their propensity for violence, that’s proven. I would suggest filing a complaint against the police as well.

The moron who did this blamed Bush for all America's ills. This is exactly the sort of behavior that Leftist media and politicians have been fostering for many years now. It's one thing to attack a political rival's policies, but the leftists have gone far beyond that with Bush. They've been unrelenting in blaming him for literally everything bad, the way the leftists in Nazi Socialist Germany did it to the Jews. The left are relying on the uneducated morons out there to believe their lies, create hatred within them, and then act on it. It's dangerous now.
Not quite enough for armed response, but in a case like this I do carry a small can of pepper spray.

Video tape every event; ensure that there are multiple video cameras to document everything. Then, prosecute the offenders. Criminally and personally.

Brings back memories. My assaulter did 90 days. I think you are correct that the left would love to have us all jailed, fined, deported, or killed. Reading left-wing blogs and my contact with local peaceniks has convinced me it will be so if we don’t stop them soon. So much for Dissent is Patriotic.
