I didn't know Jews sought converts in Antiquity. Is Jewish prosleyltism in Rome mentioned by Ancient Historians?

...Besides the Jews, there are other populations that share the “Abrahamic Genetic Signature” as their primary Y-markers.

These include Lebanese, Syrians, Druze, Iraqi Kurds, some southern and central Italians, and Hungarians. It is also found among some Armenians.

These may be descendants of Abraham through his grandson Esau, brother of Jacob, some of whose progeny, according to Talmudic tradition, founded the early roots of the empire of Rome. As Isaac’s son and Abraham’s grandson, Esau would also have had these same Y-chromosome lineage markers...

I seem to recall a Jewish sage saying of the Pharisees, "you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte" (Mat. 23:15). Also, Josephus mentions in Against Apion that in every city there were large numbers of Gentiles who took on the Torah, up to an including the kosher laws, in every city. Rabbi Hillel (who died when Yeshua was about 7-15) was known in the Talmud for encouraging proselytes; presumably his disciples were as well.

So yeah, Judaism was at one point a missionary religion. Roman and then Christian persecution put a stop to that, causing the Jewish community to turn inward instead.

Shalom.

The Jewish people, according to archaeologists, originated in Babylon and Persia between the 4th and 6th centuries BC.
Which revisionist archaeologists are these?

At the height of the Roman Empire, about 10% of the empire's population was Jewish, although the bulk of them were converts. Some Khazars were also incorporated during this period.
The Western Roman Empire fell in 479CE. There are no references to Khazars prior to 586CE. And the early postulated date of conversion in 740CE.

Yeah? Who wrote the Jewish scrolls that are 3,200 years old? What an asshat.
