The unrelenting call of the golf course? ...the call of White House parties? ...the call of preening in front of a mirror? This nobama is a busy man.

Probably busy writing an executive order to forbid Colorado from leaving the Big 12, or perhaps busy working on a coverup for the ACORN employees’ claims of voter fraud.

A few days ago Rush’s stand-in (Mark ?) mentioned that the families of the victims were to be invited to the White House for memorial services. One of the mothers was prepared to give a speech stating that the proper way to memorialize the victims is to not proceed with the moratorium. Can’t have that on camera.

I think it’s more appropriate to meet privately with or make a call to the families if the president absolutely thinks it’s necessary to express sympathy.... Be discreet about it. Otherwise I think it’s just opportunism.
I know that if I were a grieving family member the last thing I’d want was the service being bogged down with the baggage of a presidential visit.

Perhaps I’ve missed some news articles, but I doubt it.
Seems to me there hasn’t been diddly-squat presented other than the statistic of eleven about the personnel killed during the explosion, fire, and sinking of that oil rig.
Don’t those eleven people rate some sort of acknowledgement for having lived on this Earth, and in America?
I guess life means nothing to the Liberal news media anymore. Eleven killed is just like reporting statistics of aborted babies. Just numbers to the Left. Just numbers.

I remember how angry he seemed at the miners' memorial when it was apparent that
he wasn't the center of attention.

The memorial service was May 25.
DAY 36 May 25
Obama flies to San Fran to party with Getty Oil family
And raise millions for Barbara Boxer

Obama during oil spill golf, parties, photo-ops and more golf!
"As CNN reported today [25th May], Obama will headline three fundraisers in San Francisco for Boxer and for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. The events are scheduled to be held at the Fairmont Hotel, in the city's affluent Nob Hill district, and at the home of Ann and Gordon Getty, wealthy philanthropists who head their family's billion dollar trust.
The decision to raise campaign funds with Getty the heir to the multi-billion-dollar Getty Oil fortune draws even further attention to the Presidents misplaced priorities as he flies across the continent for a campaign fundraiser while a major man-made disaster damages the ecosystem and economy of the Gulf Coast.
President Obama and Barbara Boxers hypocrisy is astonishing. In the wake of this ongoing national crisis, why didnt the Democrats reschedule his fancy fundraiser with the billionaire oil heirs and allow the President to direct his full attention toward the massive disaster that is plaguing the Gulf Coast? asked National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokeswoman Amber Marchand. While the President makes time to fly across the country to rake in campaign cash for struggling Democrats like Barbara Boxer, todays trip comes at a special cost for residents of the Gulf Coast region who want the Presidents full attention on this enormous problem." -

I detest the guy but he met with the families at the White House and spoke to each personally.
I cut him some slack on this one.
