Yes! He is great, I have had the opportunity to listen to him.

LOL...you mean Liberals have no “horse sense” or common sense!

Well, that is probably true. I think they have it, but I think ideology overrides everything for them. If they are a Christian, in many cases, they are a liberal first. If they are an American, they are a liberal first, and so on.

A lot of “cognitive dissonance” is present on their side...:(

And by the way, I wasn’t trying to attack you personally in my last response, I simply think you misinterpreted me...I think we agree on darn near everything there, NC.

By the way, “Liberty and Tyranny” is extensively footnoted, so if someone calls you out on a particular point you might make, you can reference the footnote and find the entire source to present if it comes to that. Just an amazing book...

As for “The Road to Serfdom”, next to Whittaker Chambers’ “Witness” whose book radically changed my political approach to liberalism, “The Road to Serfdom” has had a greater impact on my political approach to economics than any other.

VERY well written...I loved his line:

"...What he really means is that in a post-national, post-modern Western world, the definition of “Canadian” (and Dutch and Belgian and Irish) is how multicultural and globalized you feel. The U.N., Greenpeace, Amnesty International, Bono: these are the colors a progressive, worldly Westerner nails to his mast. You don’t need to go anywhere, or do anything: You just need to pick up the general groove, which you can do very easily at almost any college campus...

What a great, every-man putdown of the "Citizen of The World" jackasses...:)

I could definitely vote for that dynamic duo. We have a good field of candidates shaping up as possibilities for a change.

Every time I see Governor Christie I like him more. He's sharp, articulate, and unapologetic for holding fast to conservative fiscal policy.

I'm a little disappointed by his stance on immigration reform --he speaks favorably about the Bush plan at 30 minutes in, his opposition to offshore drilling and most disappointing - he supports New Jersey's asinine gun laws (about 50 minutes in).
