Well, I watched it, all of it. My original intention was to scan thru and see what sense of the man I could get. I was unable to stop it once it started and was struck by this mans sense of purpose and total confidence in what he is doing.

He did a wonderful job of highlighting the greed of the unions when he explained all he was asking of their members was to forgo one years raise in order to forestall teacher layoffs and their refusal, in almost all cases to do so. It is this lack of fear and willingness to stand strong for what he believes which will ensure his success in his fight to balance the budget because the people of NJ will stand with him.

If he continues governing in this way I have no doubt he will be on the national ticket in the not to distant future.

Oh brother. I think Christie was phenomenal. He did so well and the interviewer was very difficult and in doing that made Christie even better. You were one of those complainers who only wanted softball questions going to Sarah Palin when she was interviewing. I want tough interviewers for all Republicans and especially conservatives. Why do you not????? Sad that you want easy questions given to folks like Sarah.

I too was only going to watch a minute because I was never impressed with him and laughed my butt off when people wanted him to run for President...What the fat guy who has two months in office? What a jerk I was!!!!! I began the show and could not stop watching for the entire show. He was articulate, educated and just a leader. He would be great as President of the United States.

In the dictionary under “Pompous Ass,” you’ll see Steve Adubato’s picture.

Never in my life, and believe me I am no youngster, have I seen a politician, who was so unequivocal in the positions he has taken and so focused on accomplishing that which he was elected to do.

A great Governor, and he’d make a great President. Congratulations to the wise people of New Jersey who elected him.

No. I think you interpret me wrong. It isn’t the “tough” questions that set me off, it was the rank ideological stupidity and narrowness of the interviewer.

I agree with you on all counts, I think you got my focus wrong. I was impressed with the “phenomenal” performance of Christie, and I said so and I also opined that having an interviewer like that made his performance all that more impressive and enjoyable.

And by the way, I don’t want “easy questions” for “Sarah” or anything like that. Where on earth did you get that from?

I’m one of “those complainers”? I don’t have a problem with “tough” questions, but what I DO have an issue with is when you get liberal biased interviewers like this who take this approach with one person/candidate/politician, then with another (whom they favor) they get idiot questions like “How do you handle the adulation?”

If anything besides the taking of the ideological side by a supposedly impartial PBS journalist (as if there actually existed any kind of thing like that) I was irritated at the tone of this interviewer asking the questions in the disrespectful way that he did.

Much the same, yes, as Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric treated Obama one way when they interviewed him, but acted in this same manner as I saw in this video when they performed hostile interviews with Palin. You provided a good example in Palin, but I did not mention her anywhere.

I don’t agree with hostile interviews, but at least aggressive interviews should be the norm, but they are not, at least not across the ideological spectrum. Do you agree or disagree with that statement.

I don’t understand the negative and derogatory tone you took towards me in your post.

Wow! I watched the whole thing and loved him. I may be in TN, but we need a clone of him in every state! I love how he finally says...”I reject the premise of your question.”

Same with me. I thought it was only about two or three minutes of a clip, and started watching at 0100 EST...it kept me up late because I couldn’t stop watching!

Ah. That is the guy....Steve Adubato. I gotta bookmark that video, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets pulled, it doesn’t help the liberal agenda.

I felt the same way when he said that.

Too often, I believe conservatives at all levels (Including myself) make an enormous error when we allow liberals to get away with building their arguments on faulty premises.

More often, we should challenge their basic premise. Thomas Sowell, in his excellent recent book “Intellectuals and Society”, shows how devastating that can be by attacking Karl Marx’s basic premise that all wealth in an economy is based on the worker and things handled by the worker. The fact that Marx did not even give creedence to intellectual or innovative contribution to an economy in his book “Das Kapital” renders the book a magnificent intellectual exercise that is based on faulty logic.

Ann Coulter put it best when she said that if you allow liberals to get away with small lies, they will build an edifice of lies on that foundation.

So, yeah, I loved hearing him reject the premise. To often we accept the premise and argue against all the stuff on the fringes, which is harder to do because you have allowed them their premise.

Love the tagline! Did you hear Glenn Beck yesterday? He said the publisher said they were backordered for a month or two! Another book that topped the Amazon #1.

Your point is really important. A lot of damage is done by conservatives conceding the philosophical/intellectual ground to liberals who are supposedly “smarter.”

Liberals may be more “well-educated” in the institutionalized education sense, but they are not more well-educated in the individually educated sense, and definitely not “smarter.”

Mark Steyn is a great example of someone who takes liberal arguments apart piece by piece. And its actually the easiest thing to do in the world, but because when you take away all the victim-baiting and emotionalism, liberal arguments are chock full o’ faulty logic and false premises. More people on the Right should become acquainted with great reasoning minds from Aristotle forward, and help build a philosophical edifice for a permanent move right in this country, based on the indisputable soundness of principles, and get really good and explaining these concepts to friends, neighbors, and acquaintances.

I don’t watch television, so I have never really seen Glenn Beck...

My favorite recent book (Besides Sowell) is Mark Levin’s “Liberty and Tyranny”. I have already purchased and given away three of them, in addition to the two I have for myself (one is to mark up with a highlighter, and one is a signed edition I keep in the box...:)

That book is indeed a masterpiece. A great reference source.
