AVALON, Calif. (AP) -- An island off the Los Angeles coast reluctantly finds itself in the middle of an international tussle over illegal immigration, and some leaders are blaming their own congressman for putting them there.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher flew by helicopter here earlier this month to confront a Mexican official who was handing out identity cards that nationals use in the U.S. to open bank accounts and cash checks....

I wonder whose side Obama would take?

Obama would probably turn our troops on us.

Then he would be tried for treason.

The good things is that our troops swear an oath to defend the Constitution, not the dictator president.

Mexican officials say the IDs, valid for five years, are also used by Mexicans who are in the U.S. legally.

Lying pimps - legal immigrants don't need the phoney ID card.

Santa Catalina?
The island of romance?
26 miles across the sea?

The only solution to this problem is:

1. A two-layer fence, with armed guards every 300yds, from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico.

2. A national ID card.

The forced deportation of anyone here illegally...without hearings or trials.

3. A Constitutional Amendment which alters the 14th Amendment to say that the children of an illegal mother are NOT citizens.

4. Federal law preventing the expenditure of any local, state or federal monies to benefit an illegal...other than food, housing, clothing and medical care while IN CUSTODY (behind bars) of one of those entities.

5. 10 years prison time, without parole, for anyone who knowingly or negligently hires an illegal. If that person doesn't have the National ID, they don't get the job. If you hire a contract agency, you must still check for yourself the existence of said ID.

Come on FReepers! Grab your ukuleles and sing along!

Twenty- six miles across the sea
Santa Catalina is a-waitin’ for me
Santa Catalina, the island of romance, romance, mexicans, romance

Water all around it everywhere
Tropical trees and the salty air
But for me the thing that’s a-waitin’ there-romance

It seems so distant, twenty-six miles away
Restin’ in the water serene
I’d work for anyone, even Calderón
Who would float me to my island dream

Twenty- six miles, so near yet far
I’d swim with just some water-wings and my guitar
I could leave the wings but I’ll need the guitar for romance, romance, mexicans,
romance

Twenty- six miles across the sea
Santa Catalina is a-waitin’ for me
Santa Catalina, the island of illegal aliens.

A tropical heaven out in the ocean
Covered with trees and mexicans
If I have to swim, I’ll do it forever
Till I’m gazin’ on those island pearls

Forty kilometers in a leaky old boat
Any old thing that’ll stay afloat
When we arrive we’ll all promote romance, romance, mexicans, romance

Twenty- six miles across the sea
Santa Catalina is a-waitin’ for me
Santa Catalina, the island of romance, romance, mexicans, romance

Twenty- six miles across the sea
Santa Catalina is a-waitin’ for me

“The city's Catholic church offered a room to rescue the event.”

File RICO and harboring criminal charges and revoke the Church's tax exempt status!

Would it be okay if we audit your past 20 years of tax returns at the same time? Just in case the IRS missed something the first time.
