The boat builder is just covering himself,

That's conjecture. So what's the conjecture on Ian Kiernans statement?

It is questionable if Paul Bunyan could have saved that mast from that wave.

Which proves what everyone has been saying...she didn't belong out on the Indian Ocean in winter.

Minus that wave

It wasn't a single wave. It was a winter storm with 60 knot winds.

Or the deep end of the pool in summer. She could hit her head on the diving board for Gods sake...

The poor girl has been brainwashed by her evil parents....They've all been infected by balloon boy syndrome....It's all lies!

How do you know it wasn't a rogue wave?

In any case, it was a single wave that broke the mast.... cause it only happens once.

The “storm” didn’t dismast her, a wave did.

As for “belonging”, the sea is a hostile environment. No man belongs there. All we can do is prepare and then trust in our good efforts and luck to avoid the totally unpredictable events - like a huge wave.
