I believe he does have jurisdiction now the the oil has reached his shores! It depends on how far out into the Gulf he goes. I'm not sure what the limitations to state vs U.S. jurisdiction of the coastal water is.

Not only does it begin a process long overdue but it dares Obama to pull rank to rescind an obvious, necessary action making Obama look like an even bigger asshole than he has already shown himself to be.I expect obama to federalize the Guard away from Jindal, then sit on his hands.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has told the National Guard that there's no time left to wait for BP Seems ABC is still whoring for the Obama regime. LA goverment were waiting for the Feds. BP has no capability, nor responsibility, to build the barriers. That is the Feds job.
