Steve King: Obama 'favors the black person'
Politico ^ | 6/14/10 | Josh Bresnahan

Posted on 06/14/2010 10:39:20 PM PDT by pissant

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), well known for his incendiary comments, has done it again.

During an appearance on G. Gordon Liddy’s radio show this morning to discuss Arizona’s immigration law, King suggested President Barack Obama was a racist and “favors the black person” while carrying out his presidential duties.

King also said that he was “offended” by both Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.

“When you look at this administration, I'm offended by Eric Holder and the president also, their posture. It looks like Eric Holder said that white people in America are cowards when it comes to race,” said King. “And I don't know what the basis of that is but I'm not a coward when it comes to that and I'm happy to talk about these things and I think we should.”

King added: “But the president has demonstrated that he has a default mechanism in him that breaks down the side of race - on the side that favors the black person.”

The King quotes were circulated by the group politicalcorrection.org, a unit of Media Matters for America, a liberal organization that fights conservative media bias.

POLITICO has asked King for further explanation of his remarks and will post a response as soon as we receive it.

This is just the latest episode in a long line of comments by King bashing Obama.

Just last month, King took to the House floor to say that Obama to slam Obama over the president’s criticism of the Arizona immigration law. King said Obama viewed political controversies through a racial viewpoint..

According to King, “it seems the President has an inclination to engage in these kinds of things. When he had an Irish cop and a black professor, who did he side with? He jumped to a conclusion without having heard the facts, and he ended up having to have a beer summit.”

In March 2008, King said terrorists would be “dancing in the streets” if Obama won the presidency.

White people in America have been kicked around by the black man long enough. Blacks have come to think of us as cowards for allowing ourselves to be treated so poorly. We've been told for so long how mean old whitey is to blame for all that's wrong with the world, we've forgotten all the good things our race has done.

The real joke is on all of us, we sit here in a society which funnels billions upon billions into racial set asides, quotas, affirmative action, we have civil rights laws, discrimination lawsuits, forced busing, public housing, free cheese, hate crimes laws, investigations of every wal mart announcement, Black Panthers at polling places with clubs threatening voters....

And then we even have to discuss whether a left wing democrat president favors certain people over others, while one race supports him over 90% as his polls otherwise plummet, and he funnels more billions to public unions, etc.

And we wonder if Peter King was out of line.

He’s just practicing “affirmative action”.

Since I believe that politics trumps everything (regardless of where you are in the political spectrum), including race, gender, ethnicity, religion - you name it - I would put his preference order as follows:

1. enviro-socialist/marxists
2. blacks
3. other nonwhites
4. white women
5. white men

One might use the fact that he has a lot of white men in his administration as an argument against this list. That is so, but they also fall in the 1st category - and that is always the most important consideration.

Does Politico ever refer to Grayson’s comments as “incendiary”?

Isn’t it interesting that everyone is afraid of Peter King’s charge but not about whether it is true?

He cites simple credible facts, the Boston police incident and the failure to prosecute the New Black Panthers. Perhaps we should be more concerned IF the president is a racist.

However, I do agree that Obama favors the usual list of left wing suspects, not just African Americans. That includes unions, enviros, (liberal) minorities and (liberal) women, among others.

If Obama really gave a damn about black people, he never would have kicked those poor children out of his kids’ elite school, a year before the voucher program actually ended.

There really is no credible explanation for not prosecuting club wielding thugs intimidating whites outside a polling place. Caught on tape, no less.

Ubama is all about reparations - - how stupid do you have to be to not see this?
Did King say something wrong?

Anyway, all that’s left is to see if King is stupid enough to apologize.

If you use my priority list, then what he did makes perfect sense. The voucher program (school competition) is one of the biggest threats to enviro-socialist/marxists.

Speaking the truth. I’m fed up with PC and it appears King is, too. Why should he have to elaborate on his remarks? I’m satisfied with his explanation.
