WASHINGTON (AP) - The Obama administration says a climate and energy bill being pushed in the Senate would cost American households 22 to 40 cents a day, less than the cost of a postage stamp.
The Environmental Protection Agency said in a new analysis released Tuesday that a bill sponsored by Sens. John Kerry and Joe Lieberman would cost households an average of $79 to $146 per year.

The list, ping
I’m sick of rich liberal elites making laws that make life difficult for the ordinary people who pay their salaries.
I see they practicing and polishing their “Big Lie” technique again.
Once they sucker us into that, then it will be more and more each year.
We’re on to you, POLS!
Even if true (and I don’t believe it) nothing the government starts remains static. The cost will go up (and up and up until there is no more money like every other government program).
And the healthcare bill won’t cost you anything.
And you can keep your doctor.
And the stimulus bill will cap unemployment to 8%.
And we will all get a unicorn that poops skittles.
You know, I don’t mail a letter everyday, and I don’t wish to donate the cost of a postage stamp daily to a bunch of money grubbing communists! Efff em!
And you can take that prediction to the bank - has the government EVER underestimated the potential cost of something? These are the best and brightest. Look at how well it worked out with Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP, etc.!!! What could possibly go wrong???
The cost of postage stamps RISE every year.
at the rate Social Security increased we can expe3ct that 40 cents to be 4000 dollars in a year and 20 thousand dollars in 5 years.
Just like HC being budget neutral when Sebillius held out a report for two weeks from the CBO showing it would cost a trillion and she keeps her job?
Pelosi has a $110,000 bar tab and stays employed?
Screw Lerch and Liebs.
That doesn’t count the additional costs we will pay for EVERYTHING we buy.
Lies and more lies.
I thought the point of cap’n’trade was supposed to be to have fees and credits large enough to change behavior. If the cost doesn’t hurt, it won’t work as designed.
Maybe they are planning to pass most of the cost on to business. I can only guess at that of course, based on the fact that they are the most Marxist business-hating regime in American history.
For 40 cents a day YOU can feed a starving child.
If you take my 40 cents a day BO, a child will have to go hungry.
Have they been watching that LIFE INSURANCE AD?
They say the same thing!
No kidding!
Colonial Penn LIFE Insurance
Don’t forget the $19K/mo new office digs - barf.
