“When you go back to the Constitution, it says that its the peoples right to remove a government”
That isn’t in the constitution. He is thinking of the Declaration of Independence.
While I agree that President Obama should resign....the people cannot just “remove” him. At least not until an election.
I echo your sentiments.
“..whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it..”
The Declaration of Independence is considered to be a part of United States Law, so yes, the people CAN just remove a sitting government. While it may not be easy, we can do it, and our national laws codify our right to do it!
We start with a letter-writing and petition blitz of of elected representatives demanding that they impeach and remove this administration with ALL of its strap-hangers; we followup in November and vote out every unresponsive/uncooperative incumbent.
If the elections turn in the Leftists favor despite the overwhelming mood of the citizenry; we'll know that the election process is rigged, and peaceful change is no longer possible; it will be time for the Constitution's reset button to be used (AKA: Second Amendment).
I applaud this General’s bold commentary, for it will help our troops still on active-duty become mentally prepared for when they may have to assist the people in taking their country back.
I think the context of his comment is there is enough corruption and crime there, that the entire regime needs to step aside.
Which would trigger the succession line until such time as we find someone who isn't part of the corruption to lead the country. Succession line * The Vice President Joseph Biden * Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi * President pro tempore of the Senate Robert Byrd (really?) * Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton * Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner * Secretary of Defense Robert Gates * Attorney General Eric Holder * Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar * Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack * Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke * Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis * Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius * Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan * Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood * Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu * Secretary of Education Arne Duncan * Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki * Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano WOW...Robert Byrd?
The Declaration refers to armed revolution and he isn't saying that.
If you read what he said in the following sentences it's evident he means the Constitution because he is referring to the election process, and also using the legislative threat of impeachment to force resignation. It would have been clearer if he had said "administration" rather than "government" but the intent is there in the context.
