John Edwards, the former presidential contender and Democratic poster child, has vanished from the national scene in a self-imposed exile after embarrassing revelations about his affair with Rielle Hunter.
The former senator rarely strays far from his North Carolina home, spending his time visiting his kids and meeting with legal advisers. Very few who previously worked with Edwards have spoken to him.
According to local law enforcement officials, Edwards used to stop by local bars, sip on white wine and flirt with single women. Those visits have stopped over the past six weeks.
According to one of Edward’s former advisers, the lone ranger spends most of his time trying to avoid a possible federal grand jury indictment concerning $1 million in presidential campaign funds that he allegedly funneled to Hunter while she was pregnant with their child.
Even Edwards’ legal courier can’t get in touch with him. Robert “Hoppy” Elliot has been trying to serve Roberts court papers to coerce him to giving a sworn statement after Hunter sued Roberts’ aide Andrew Young, who claims he has a tawdry sex tape of the duo.
“Let us know if you find him,” said Robert “Hoppy” Elliot to a Daily Beast reporter. “Because we’ve been looking for him all over the place”

The MSM did everything they could to cover for Edwards - right up until the National Enquirer came up with a picture. I wonder if the MSM would work that hard to protect a conservative jerk? ( Thankfully - for us - they wouldn’t.)

That's hard for me to envision, as my impression of narcissism is that they have total disregard of everybody around them, EXCEPT for a very few select individuals whom they believe knowing enhances their own self-worth.
Clinton is so sociable and has an ability to 'chat up' virtually anybody from any social background, that it's hard for me to comprehend him living in a Universe of ONE --- like both Barry Obama and John Edwards and miscellaneous cult leaders exemplify.

It would NEVER ever even occur to Barry to say something like, "I feel your pain," as there is no Other in Barry's universe, just The.One.
The only person I believe he genuinely interrelates with is his eldest daughter Malia, but I suspect that The.Mirror is everpresent then, too.
Clinton has some of the traits but not nearly in the same league as obama. He loved the trappings of the presidency and moved toward the center after the ‘94 loss of the House. He still loved the attention he craved and showed no regard for his wife or daughter witnessed by his personal conduct.
Bill CLinton is the CLASSIC narcissist extrovert — he doesn’t CARE about the people he’s schmoozing — they are his AUDIENCE.
It was my understanding that Hillary knew of his numerous escapades.
I don't think that they ever expected to get caught, and I certainly don't beleive that they ever thought that Hillary would come out looking like a "good wife" in the aftermath --- I suspect they chuckle about this, privately.
He certainly uses people for his own ends, and he certainly is VAIN; but I don't think he's clinically a narcissist, as I believe that he DOES know, quite realistically, that OTHER PEOPLE are currently incarnate, along with him.
I don't see that same perceptivity in John Edwards or Barry Obama who are on such high pedastals, that they ALONE exist in their Universes.

I'd never heard of such a thing, thanks for enlightening me. That must be what lots of cult leaders are, too --- EXTROVERTED narcissists, as they adore the Audience, but simultaneously they have utter disregard for the individual persons comprising them.
The only narcissists I've experienced in Real Life, to the best of my knowledge, were ones who really seemed to be utterly UNAWARE of others around them, so utterly so, that it would be inaccurate to state that they didn't CARE, because for them there was NOTHING else but the SELF.
