HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Mayor Eddie Perez said Tuesday that he will submit his resignation Friday, a week after he was convicted on five corruption charges, and would stay in office long enough to ensure an easy transition.
Perez, a former gang leader who became Hartford's first Latino mayor, said last week he would step down after being convicted of extortion, accepting a bribe and other counts....

We’re talking Hartford CT here... the GOP finished in 4rd place behind the vaguely Communist Working Families Party in the last municipal election.

You ever notice that these “working families” people aren’t so much “working”.
The council member they cite is overeducated. He got a med degree, a master’s in public health, etc.
He’s never really worked a day in his life, he’s an elitist.

They elect a gang leader for Mayor and then I suppose they are all surprised he turned out to be a frickin’ criminal?
