House Democrats will not pass a budget blueprint in 2010, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) will confirm in a speech on Tuesday.
But Hoyer will vow to crack down on government spending, saying Democrats will enforce spending limits that are lower than what President Barack Obama has called for.
In the scheduled address to the progressive think tank The Third Way, Hoyer will acknowledge that the lower chamber will do things differently this election year.
It isnt possible to debate and pass a realistic, long-term budget until weve considered the bipartisan commissions deficit-reduction plan, which is expected in December, according to Hoyers prepared remarks that were provided to The Hill.

Translation: They want to pass a VAT, but can only do so after the election.

Aren’t they now breaking the very law that they themselves pushed for? Typical.

Since they aren’t capable lately of doing anything except rubberstamping unread bills and holding show trials, I think it would be best to put Congress on hiatus until a budget is ready to be voted upon. And in the meantime we should lock their offices, ground their planes, cancel their junkets and suspend their expense accounts and pension contributions.

Horse$hit. Shut them down. This has to be unconstitutional..some way, somehow. We need lawyers to file charges immeidately if they pull this..and a judge who could halt this in its tracks. I’m ready to take this fight to THEIR neighborhoods. Forget about ‘summer recess’, I am ready to raise hell wherever they may be. What we need here is a RECKONING.

That is ridiculous. These people can’t afford for anyone to see where the taxpayers money has gone. Right into their slush funds; that’s where. No wonder we can’t balance a budget.

The new Congress will need to start DE-FUNDING federal government in most areas..
NOT funding but de-funding..
The Dumbocrats will fight it... but de-funding is the answer..
It is Not AN answer; it is THE answer; to righting federal government excesses..
THEN; whole bureaucracies need to be eliminated..

The problem with repeal is that Obama would have to sign off on it.
