Haley win a boon for Palin, Romney

Nikki Haley may have been the big winner in South Carolina Tuesday, but she isn’t the only Republican whose star is rising in an early state that is key to winning the GOP presidential nomination.

Both Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, and Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, were also winners in the 2012 sweepstakes. They got behind Haley at critical junctures in her campaign for governor while the rest of the potential GOP presidential field either endorsed another candidate or stayed out of the fray completely.

. . . . . .

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s pick of Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer fizzled, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum’s decision to back Rep. Gresham Barrett was slightly better and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s selection of state Attorney General Henry McMaster didn’t get him very far.

. . . . . .

Romney endorsed and campaigned with Haley long before Palin did.

And Romney's endorsement did next to nothing for Haley, while her standing in the Polls really jumped once Palin endorsed her.

Romney deserves recognition for attacking Gov. Palin
using others to throw the last election to Obama.

How is that working out for you?

Since you are pimping Romney so hard, here is a question:

Has ROMNEY been a man to take Ownership for the attacks on Gov. Palin on
the eve of Election 2008 throwing Obama into the White House?

"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I'm told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin's people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney's former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

Erick Erickson, who organized Operation Leper, said:
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the "Diva" leak was Nicolle Wallace's husband."

Who benefits most from Sanford meltdown? Californian (that's right) Mitt Romney

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

I think he has a good of a chance as anyone.

The reason he did not get more traction during the last campaign was because the GOP base generally goes with the “next in line” candidate.

We shall see.

A FACTUAL title. Both Romney and Palin deserve recognition for their efforts in this.

Romney gets credit when he mans up and admits his Romney care is socialist.

When he admits it was a wrong-headed idea to force people to get Health-Insurance under threat of penalty and then subsidizes those who are "too poor" to afford health care insurance.

In other words, when he becomes honest, then he'll get some credit, until then, he is what he is, a snake in the grass.

Well, I can’t speak for Haley, but I’d back Sarah over Romney for President.

I *do* think there’s a place for Mitt in a GOP administration, in the same way that there would be room for a Rudy Giuliani. I just don’t think that place is at the top of a Presidential ticket.

Just as Rudy would make a great (IMHO) Attorney General or Homeland Security chief, Romney would excel in a position where he could make the most use of his business acumen and economic smarts.

Oh, well that's much better then.

Nothing like a Romney boost to ones "Conservative Bonafides"...

Kinda like a Steak house being endorsed by PETA...

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

Nikki Halley before Palin’s endorsement: 4th place
Nikki Halley after Palin’s endorsement: Winner

When Nikki was getting hammered by the slime where was Mittens? Palin was the only one backing her up.

The footnote known as Mittens did it again He endorsed Mike Lee of UT the day after the primary.

Haley was on Greta tonite and stated Mittens was a good businessman and know how to stretch a dollar. That was all Haley had to say about Mittens.

On Sarah, Haley stated Palin was a national figure, had the voice of the people and mention how shocked they were when the polls come out after Sarah’s endorsement. In Haley words, she went from Nikkie who to Nikkie Haley.

Haley did mention she will definitely back somebody when the time come. I would think it would be Sarah because Sarah and Nikkie are cut from the same cloth.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s pick of Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer fizzled

Why did he back a poofter to begin with? Is a Huckster endorsement of Barney Frank next?

Saw Haley was on fire and tried to jump on in order to help him run his failed 2012 presidential campaign.

Don't call it "failed" quite yet. He still has around $450 million in the bank. ANYONE could make a credible run with that kind of cash.

You’ll see “Romney” as a keyword around here for articles that do not even pertain to him. It’s mind-bongling. Try it and see.
