Paul McCartney: "I like Obama... and he’s right to have a go at us for polluting his Country"

THE shocking images of oil-covered wildlife and ruined beaches across the Gulf of Mexico have horrified millions.

But passionate green campaigner Sir Paul McCartney believes the environmental disaster may have a silver lining, with the search for clean, renewable energy now being pushed forward.

The Beatles legend said: "Sadly we need disasters like this to show people. Some people don't believe in climate warming - like those who don't believe there was a Holocaust.

"But the facts indicate that there's something going on and we've got to be aware of it if we want our kids to inherit a decent world, not a complete nightmare of a planet - clean, renewable energy is for starters."

“his country”?

I don’t think so.

It’s OUR country, not Obambi’s.

At least it used to be.

God help us if this bozo gets reelected.

Lennon wanted to dose Richard Nixon with a massive dose of LSD. He was no “better” Beatle. He was rightfully refused entry into this country. He was a tax avoider anyway, why do you think the Beatles wanted out of England?

They shot the wrong Beetle.

Or as Dennis Leary put it, 'What kind of country is this where John Lennon gets six bullets in the chest, Yoko is standing right next to him and not one bullet?"

He’s meaning Obama’s rebuke of BP. I wonder if he supports Obama nationalizing BP’s assets and shifting them to US assets.

Lennon was the better Beatle.

My daughter gave me his 800+ page bio for Christmas. It was a heckuva read. Although he was by far my favorite Beatle, I never put him up on a pedestal. I learned long ago to pay little or no attention to pronouncements of my favorite musicians.

Any “superstar” celeb who continues to mount massive tours when he has upwards of a billion in the bank, needs to rethink his commitment to the environment.

Streamcast your concerts like a conference call and stay home jamming.

I can handle him getting high and mighty about oil use.

I will not tolerate him calling me a "neonazi" and that is what it means to be a Holocaust denier.

Why doesn't he call out the Ringo Starr look-alike in Iran who IS a Holocaust denier and gearing up to nuke Israel and "da jooz"?

That does it. I'm burning my Beatles albums.

Al Gore launched the global warming movement to atone for all of those naughty records he burned in the 1980s just before he ran for prezzydent in 1988.

He still hasn’t gone as far as RFK Jr., who said anyone who denies the tales of Man Made Global Warming is guilty of “treason”.

That means enemy of the state subject to execution.

I saw 2 hours of video clips of the Beatles from 1963-1970 at a museum. They were in chronological order and by the time Lennon starts using heroin, they are all looking very strung out. The drugs had started to take their toll.

George Harrison was the first to get off drugs. He visited Haight-Ashbury and was saddened by the strung out junkies there who'd wasted their lives.
