It is all about Clintoon. You might think that it was the US team that played a terrific game and showed the never-say-die American spirit. But No! It is all about Clintoon! He even gave a speech just in case the US wins the World Cup (not impossible this time). He can then claim how he inspired the team to victory with one of the greatest inspirational speeches ever!

The body language during the game suggested that he was rooting for Algeria.
