I mean, c’mon. Even real Palin fans have to cringe at some of these. You might want to check your side for saboteurs. LOL

Yeah, that’s not nearly as profound as “Yes we can!”

Palin's had her share of groaners, but it seems to me she's in the stage of her possible candidacy where she's continuing to try to put out the tone she wants people to pick up on when they consider her. Her brand name has been and continues to be samaged by the liberal media, and may be permanently poisoned by their bizarre obsession with her.

I would share your initial opinion except I don't know of any politician whose speeches interest me that much. I don't think what she does with these speeches is engage on some policy-wonk level. I think she's doing what Hillary Clinton's "listening tour" did. Remember how we all laughed at that? Did a helluva lot of good. Palin and her staff know that she doesn't have to get out there and be deep; her fans don't need it, and the unconverted don't want it. They want something simple to take away from her appearances, and it seems she's trying to do that. Makes sense all around.

Yep, I cringed when she said "America's best days are ahead"

Too much fluff.

If you want to hear the speech, Tammy Bruce recorded it and has it up at her site, along with Tammy's running commentary.

The MSM damages themselves by their continued attack on her.

By the time 2011 rolls around, the public will be tired of the constant media attacks that they will no longer have an affect.

They’ve already lost their effectiveness and have made the media a pathetic parody of themselves.

Sniping about what someone wears or other trivial things doesn’t matter.

The MSM continues to lie while Palin continues to preach truth.

Truth will eventually win out.

It always does.

Palin is a lot smarter than most people will ever know.

It’s not the MSM arrows or the speeches or platitudes or anything else. All that is normal politics.

It’s the worshipping freepers starting inane vanity threads like this. And the ensuing ankle biting when people point that out.

Worshiping?

Not even close.

No one here is doing that.

You want worshiping, go read a DU thread about Obama and how their legs get all tingly when he talks.

Let the media continue to throw their pebbles and their petty little snipes and spread their rumors.

The truth will win out and the lies will crumble under the weight of truth.

Imagine 2 years from now, Obama making excuses and blaming his predecessor for his failures while Palin stays on message.

Who wins that one?

Obama?

Not even on MSNBC

Thanks. But I’ve listened to too many of them lately. I’m on hiatus for a few months.

So are they ( the best days) behind us?

They may well be, hard to make a campaign out of that.

What meat would you feed the masses? We’re tired of cotton candy.

How do we win against satan’s minions?

I was simply asking what Talisker thought that reason for the similarity was.

I attended kal state at Stanislaus. I'm amazed they let her speak there. I was there on 9/11. There was some raghead camel humping teacher who wrote a book and went on the lecture circuit how we had it coming. They (the campus) had posters of the Israelis exercising crowd control on the ragheads and the caption said, "Who are the terrorists?"

I'm surprised they let her speak.

We can hope, but that's no necessarily the case. But I've learned through experience not to discuss this matter in depth on FR.

I've been called a hater here, so I'm no worshipping FReeper, but if you can't see the wave of venom spewed over Palin, you're really not paying attention. All this time after the election, and which of the former candidates are they STILL going on and on and on about?

You have the right to not care for Palin, of course, but you really think she's been treated just like every other politician? Come on.

Per your tagline, is reaching the light anything like the truth? Might a person un-schooled by liberal N.Eastern universities possess it? How about women? Are they capable of knowing it?

The reason I ask is simple: the truth is often mistaken as something too complicated for the masses to understand. Better left to 'wise latinas', in other words.

An example: Suppose you buy a truck from me but aren't thrilled with the tires, and I agree to replace any tire that fails after a hundred miles. You come back after fifty miles with a flat but my lawyer hears of this and decides to take it to the Supreme Court where everything from how you drive to what you were driving on comes into question- even though we had an agreement.

This is where we (The People) are with our government- they simply are not honoring 'the agreement' and we find ourselves, today, being led by one of the biggest liars ever elected to President. An educated liar. He can agree to anything, yet when he fails to uphold his part, he can tell you to get lost.

As a fervent supporter of the 2nd ammendment, it sickens me to think that almost half of the judges on the Supreme Court would ban guns altogether if they could. And these are scholarly people with degrees to prove it. Their problem is that a very simple truth stares them in the face and they refuse to/can't see it.

In Mrs. Palin's world, I would have bought you a replacement tire yesterday because I said I would. It's refreshing to have someone in public who isn't afraid to stand for truth rather than lie and obfuscate what is otherwise very straight forward.

On national security, on the economy, and on energy in particular, her vision of what would be good for America rings true to me. I resent being lied to about wind, solar, and Green energy in general, or being told we're in a recovery with 10+% unemployed, and that shutting down oil rigs in the gulf for six months helps us how?

Sarah may seem too simple for those with a palate accustomed to the varied and complex politicians we've been so fortunate to sample over the years. What's coming from the White House these days resembles vinegar more than a fine zinfandel. If we're lucky, by 2012 we'll all be riding in the back of a pickup truck heading out of Oklahoma in Grapes of Wrath II. If not, we'll be hitch-hiking.

You guys need to learn that Pissant trolls through the Sarah Thread posting inannities, not necessarily because he believes everything he posts, but because he is trying to yank your chain.

Just ignore him, he’ll probably shrivel up and blow away if he doesn’t get any attention.

Victor Frankl was one of the great and incisive minds of the 20th century. I have heard him quoted often by real scholars. The fact that some ignoramuses don’t recognize wisdom does not make it less so.

I still stand by what I said...and he wasn’t attacking her so much as he was attacking the important statement Palin made about freedom coming with responsibility.

A mother of a US Soldier at the very least deserves some basic respect.
