The former CEO of CNN and the creator of its Crossfire show, Reese Schonfeld, has slammed the new CNN show that will be hosted by Kathleen Parker and Client Number Nine aka Eliot Spitzer. In his Huffington Post blog, Schonfeld not only blasts the proposed new show but provides some interesting background on the original Crossfire in its early years:
As the former CEO of CNN, and the creator of Crossfire (the show, not the name -- Paul Bissonette, CNN's PR man, came up with that), I think I'm qualified to comment on the new, not to be called Crossfire, television program created for Eliot Spitzer and Kathleen Parker.
To be blunt, I can't think of a worse idea. The original Crossfire featured Pat Buchanan and Tom Braden, whose name you rarely hear these days. The program was not intended as a shouting match -- our goal was to put the number one news maker of the day on CNN air at 10pm every night and to have him reply to questions from the right, Buchanan, and from the moderate left, Braden. The guest would be caught in the crossfire.

Which is client #9?
In this photo, I am willing to bet that Spitz has his hand on Parkers flat ass.
I still cannot believe they are giving that huge, walking bucket of slime his own TV show, and that the woman, whom I thought had very questionable judgment but at least a decent person, would agree to appear with him for any amount of money. Which makes her a ..... CNN is trying to outdo MSNBC in some kind of a “how low can you go” contest. CNN has answered the question “Have you no shame?” in a very clear and concise way.
... AND his pants on and zipped?
Incredible.
Tut tut,PJ, Spitzer has given hope to hundreds (thousands?) of political hacks who thought their money-earning days in politics were ended. Can you shed no tears for the plight of Mr. Spitzer? (smirk) Actually looking at Spitzer and Clinton before him, it appears adultery might be a resume enhancement device for a host of Dem pols.
You can smell the desperation at CNN and MSNBC, right through your TV. I wouldn’t even watch cnn BEFORE this fiasco and why would I now? Spitzer makes me sick.
According to those there at the time,
Client #9 had a penchant for taping other NY officials
in the act of being serviced for taxpayer money (like himself) through 1 way mirrors.
Perhaps they are watching those tapes.
I knew he would rise again from the ashes of his self-inflicted downfall. In democrat ranks, he is a hero.
Parker is a Democrat tool. Always has been. She will criticize certain things about Obama, and then admit that she still supports him. She will criticize the abortion culture, and then reassure the Left that she supports Roe v. Wade. Etc., etc..
Probably because he is dead.
Imagine the fireworks going to be produced between a NE liberal and an ultra NE liberal.
Pray for America
I was surveyed at length this week about MSNBC and my TV watching habits. Even though I said I preferred Fox News, they wanted to know what I thought of Olbermann, Maddow, and Matthews, among a host of others I never heard of. If they follow my answers, MSNBC will be shut down, reformatted, and back to sanity soon. LOL.
“MSNBC will be shut down, reformatted, and back to sanity soon. LOL”
I’m NOT convinced that will happen any time soon. But if it does...............
It will be so sweet to see Olbermann and Maddow, have to “relocate”....... even if they even can.
The worst of scriptiing here; and an altogether, sleazy operation - with or without the one-way mirrors. . .
