DOJ Official Resigns After Being Ordered to Dismiss Case Against Black Panther Gangsters
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Michael van der Galien

J. Christian Adams was proud to be a Department of Justice attorney. He believed he was serving his country by prosecuting those who wished harm on others. He strongly believed in what he did. To this DoJ official, his profession wasn’t a job but a calling.

Until earlier this month when he suddenly resigned. The reason? His superiors told him to drop a case against the New Black Panther Party, even though the “case was the simplest and most obvious violation of federal law I saw in my Justice Department career.”

Reading Adams’ account of what happened, I can only conclude that little has changed since the days in which our own Editor-in-Chief David Horowitz became disgusted with the Left because it actively covered up the many (horrendous) crimes committed by the racist gangsters of the Black Panther Party.

Back to Adams’ case against the Panthers. Here’s what happened back in 2008:

On the day President Obama was elected, armed men wearing the black berets and jackboots of the New Black Panther Party were stationed at the entrance to a polling place in Philadelphia. They brandished a weapon and intimidated voters and poll watchers.

It goes without saying that such behavior is illegal. That’s why the Department of Justice brought a case against the Black Panthers and those armed thugs after the election. Adams explains that he “and other Justice attorneys diligently pursued the case and obtained an entry of default after the defendants ignored the charges.” As said, all seemed to be going well, until their superiors suddenly ordered them to dismiss the case.

Adams:

So the United States government is willfully telling its law enforcement apparatus to let criminals go free.
Thus the people who swore to uphold the law and protect innocent individuals are helping lawbreakers.

Seems to be two proceedings here. The initial complaint was ordered dismissed after the Black Panthers ignored it (no doubt with some advice from highly-placed friends) and let a default judgment happen.

Simply refusing to pursue a case is a favorite tactic of the Left which likes to pressure authorities to simply drop an awkward case. We saw that happen in California on its Proposition 187 passage, a law to limit benefits to illegals passed comfortably by the California voters. The State AG half-heartedly defended the proposition in court and a court ruled against this proposition, which is what it wanted. So shortly afterwards, a new administration came in and the AG simply neglected to appeal the case and the ruling against the proposition stood. They accomplished their purpose of killing the proposition passed by the voters of California without seeming to actively fight it.

I this case, it appears the Civil Rights Commission is investigating the DOJ because of its dismissal and has issued subpoenas to the lawyers involved in the DOJ case. (Wouldn’t surprise me if the Commission weren’t doing this half-heartedly itself.) But DOJ has ordered those attorneys to ignore the subpoenas from the Civil Rights Commission. This places the attorneys like Adams in a Catch 22 situation (which may have been the purpose in ordering them to ignore the subpoenas because doing so compromises them personally as well as the department and makes them as lawless as their boss). One of the ways to make sure good guys don’t squeal on you is to find ways to make them corrupt or feel corrupt also.

I guess, except for a select few, the DOJ is a department of cowards, led by the biggest coward/crook.

Who ordered them to drop the charges?

That person should be arrested. Was it Holder? Impeach/arrest him. Was it BO? Impeach/arrest him.

Gawd forbid had these been white Tea Party members.

This November try setting surveillance on a RAT dstrict polling place with nothing more than a video camera. But bring a bodyguard and a distant second cameraman to record the assault by leftist thugs that is sure to follow.

The New York Times suck up boys would be flooding the zone if the politics were reversed. As is, they'll sit on their hands or diddle each other...
