Smoking will never be outlawed. Think of all the tax $$$ that’ll be lost. Ever notice that there’s stiffer criminal penalties for “smuggling” cigarettes from a low tax state into a high tax state, or selling cigarettes you bought at an Indian reservation than there is for possession of pot.

I guarantee that the majority of that 26% are the same ones who cry “KEEP YOUR LAWS OFF MY BODY!”

Obama would never ban cigs, he likes them too much plus it would be too many lost votes. We’ll never ban cigarettes, we might making growing tobacco plants illegal though...

I’d be interested in a study/survey of people on whether or not cigarettes should be outlawed, followed up with a question of whether or not marijuana should be legalized.

If government just stopped protecting the tobacco industry, it would be sued out of existance in a very short time. But they will never let that happen, because they want that tax money.

Obama would never ban cigs.. for himself.
I don’t think he’d even blink about banning them for everyone else lol.

Obama would never ban cigs.. for himself. Remember, Chicago Aldermen are the only ones who are allowed to have firearms in Chicago.

I agree. I mean, history shows us that banning a legal drug has never led to problems. Right?

I’d almost guarantee that the 26% who want to ban cigs are the same people who also want to ban trans-fats, salt in food, and non-”energy efficient” lightbulbs.

The “cultural elite” greatly desire to set up a feudal system with neo-nobility and a peasant class,
each with a different set of rules and privileges.
