You can’t blame the family for wanting him back, but you have to ponder this: if this “works” for the bad guys, how many more will be kidnapped? Unfortunately success breeds repetition.

As sad as the situation is, the Shalit family, if successful in getting their son back in exchange for hundreds of terrorists, should have the courage to then leave Israel forever because they are willing to sacrifice the state and many other lives to get their son back.

Unfortunately, I think the only way this guy is coming back is on a slab. Even if Israel pays an enormous price for his release, methinks Hamas will put a bullet in his head before he is finally returned.
