Maybe he thinks Tony Stark will protect the border. :)
Would you REALLY trust a guy named FORTNEY?
unbelievable jack ass....
I ran for Stark’s seat (CA district 13) in 2000. Lost in the primary but had a decent showing nonetheless. It was an open primary and I think I got screwed by the process.
But anyway, at one point, I attended one of Pete Stark’s town hall meetings and was treated just like this only worse because the whole crowd chimed in against me. I laughed it off.
I feel kind of proud that I made the effort. The Republican estabishment around there, however, are a bunch of stuffed shirts, or at least they were when I was there.
Running for Congress is a real shocker.
Pete Stark is a silly old fool. He should do the country a favor and retire. The unions keep him in power. The unions do his campaigning for him. On his own, he would fail.
I too noticed that race was not a factor in the anger in that room. That SOB sat there (in forced-relaxation mode) and scorned the voters. His superior attitude would have gotten him shot if he’d been disparaging “the other side” like that.
Everyone I watched it with had the same reaction. Time for a revolution America. We are being mocked.
Even MSNBC Chris Matthews seemed disgusted by Stark's arrogance tonight.
He’s almost 79.
I saw that, too. It was stunning. He rightly called that POS Stark “King George.” And he’s right.
Here’s the part of Stark’s mockery that I haven’t heard much about. When he asked Steve (the Minuteman) the dimensions of the wall - silly and arrogant in itself - he said he’d start a ladder business to sell ladders to the illegals that would enable them to scale the wall into the U.S.
Stark is an alinskyite. He has taken some of his talking points straight of out their playbook:
RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
I think Stark is senila.
