The government may raise taxes even higher (move to socialism) so BP can pay for their accidental oil spill.
Did not expect BP to do anything other than pass the cost of the clean up on to the tax payer anyway.
Taxes, taxes, taxes. :)
My theory: the government wants to tax us and give our money to the big companies, because they can end up taxing the big companies more than us and then put us on welfare. So both big companies AND the working people become dependent on the gov. for everything. That’s pure socialism plain and simple.
Boortz pounds this every day; Businesses don’t pay taxes, their customers do.
Consumers and taxpayers will pay EVERY CENT of this. I would think this would be obvious to all.
Don’t know about this, but any notion that BP would be able to pay for all losses suffered by everyone involved was nonsense, and nothing but Obama, government nonsense from the start, once the scale of the problem was realized after a week or two.
I do as well, many people here cannot grasp the simple fact that a business views taxes as a cost of doing business. It is passed on to the consumer. I just cannot understand the complete failure of anyone to understand that simple fact.
Neo fascism = supra-national corporations + internationalist totalitarian elitist interlopers
“Too big to fail” = neo-speak
And if the consumer doesn't buy it, then the business eats it!
Wrong, if the consumer doesn’t buy it it is written off their taxes as a loss.
LOL!
Would you say it is quite possible that the gov. may bail out BP if they can’t afford to pay for the cleanup? I hear environ-mentals run this administration and may pressure the gov. to do just that.

I would add that businesses don’t REALLY care if taxes go up, as long as they go up across the board equally within their industry - however, in the last 40 years, offshoring has changed this situation to some degree, except in businesses where this can’t be done.
Has anyone at BP been arrested and formally charged with a crime?
Has anyone at BP been convicted by a Court of Law of any crimes after a fair trial?
Ask Ridley why he titled his video the way he did. No BP didn’t do anything. It was an accident. Now of course the enviro-fascists will use this as a way to demonize American oil production even more.
I know Ron Paul has a bad rap on FP but I think most conservatives can agree with what he says about taxes. I for one am sick of being taxed and would like to see someone as honest about the issue as him (Dr. Paul) be president.
Communism.
The government may raise taxes even higherOh pshaw. ;') Thanks citizenredstater9271.
It’s going to happen. That’s another reason I support Ron Paul for president. He would NEVER make the gov. bail out BP.
