"Arab Journalists Come Out in Support of Israeli Flotilla Actions"

SNIPPET: "Journalists in the Arab world have come out in support of Israel in the aftermath of last month's flotilla incident, which left 9 dead after Hamas-tied "humanitarian activists" attacked Israeli commandos with clubs, knives, and other weapons.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) released excerpts from an interview with Magdi Khalil, an Egyptian-American writer, aired on June 15 on Al-Jazeera TV. Khalil explains:
"The Turkish ship, however, was organized by a known terrorist organization, which has appeared on the terror list since 1997. The IHH [The Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief] is a terrorist organization. It was foolish of the Israeli defense minister to believe the Turkish prime minister, who said that these were peaceful people. The Turkish prime minister is an Islamist and should not be trusted to begin with."
Khalil's assertions have been confirmed by intelligence experts— IHH has ties to both Hamas and Al-Qaeda. The organization planted 40 IHH operatives on the Mavi Marmara ship to create a violent confrontation with Israel. Those who died have been celebrated as martyrs by IHH and its supporters."

Defense Minister Ehud Barak called the Libyan aid vessel’s journey to Gaza an “unnecessary provocation,” and suggested that the ship allow Navy vessels to escort it to Ashdod Port “or sail directly to El Arish Port.” (Roni Sofer)

The State Department is investigating whether to designate the Turkish Muslim charity that funded and operated a Gaza-bound “aid” ship as a foreign terrorist organization, after nine people were killed aboard one of its ships in a bloody confrontation with Israeli commandos, Fox News has learned.
State Department spokesman Mark Toner told Fox News at a briefing on Wednesday that the government is looking into whether The Foundation for Human Rights and Humanitarian Relief (IHH), a nongovernmental organization, should be listed as a terror group.
“I believe we are looking at the IHH, but it’s a long process to designate something a foreign terrorist organization and ...there’s nothing to announce on that,” Toner said.

If IHH is placed on the terror list, the Turkish government “will be between a rock and a hard place,” said Dr. Soner Cagaptay, senior fellow and director of the Turkish research program at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in Washington.
“Will it ban IHH, to which it has close ties? Or will it choose to ignore the U.S. designation, doing something quite unfitting a NATO ally, therefore creating a serious rift in bilateral ties?”
A spokesman at the Turkish Embassy in Washington, asked to comment about a possible terror listing, requested that Fox News email questions to two separate addresses within the Turkish Embassy.
Two weeks later, Fox News has not received a response.
