(AP) – 25 minutes ago
HERMOSILLO, Mexico — Twenty-one people are dead in Mexico following a massive gun battle between rival drug and migrant-trafficking gangs near the U.S. border.
Prosecutors in northern Sonora state say the gun battle occurred in a sparsely populated area about 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the Arizona border.
The state Attorney General’s Office said in a statement that nine people were captured by police at the scene of Thursday’s shootings, six of whom had been wounded in the confrontation.
The area is a prime corridor for immigrant and drug smuggling.

According to Obama the border is as safe as it has been in the last 20 years. For that reason, I suspect we won't hear about this on other news outlets.
When reality conflicts with Obama pronouncements, the media have learned to ignore the reality.
