The only way the unemployment rate dropped is due to the millions that fell off of the roles receiving unemployment due to the inaction and the usual playing politics of Congress. There are more unemployed now than since WWII and that’s a reality that Obama will have to live with. Unless, of course, his commie cabal does manage to take complete control and wipe the history books clean of any negative facts.

well let me tell you what its like in my area: northern michigan. There’s no building going on, that keeps electricians, plumbers, builders, heating/cooling, masons, landscapers, excavators etc. all out of business. The stores are SLOW, few remaining factories are SLOW, there are no NEW industries starting up.
The only people i see still working are somehow connected to the government(road construction, teachers, doctors, nursing home workers, postmen etc.)
Its about as bad as it ever has been here. everyother house is a forclosed home. people tried, for years they tried to hold on to their homes but with no relief in sight they can’t hold on any longer. Anyone who USED to have a 401K doesn’t anymore.
The only thing that keeps people from completely living like animals is unemployment benefits. as small as it is it is the only thing for alot of people that keep them in the barest necessities.
I’m as conservative as the next person but in this economy I think we have to keep extending the benefits until we see a REAL upswing in the economy for ALL states!
