>> Here is his exact quote.
Thanks for the quote.
Red herrings, straw men, illusions - the MSM is forever in love with its Leftwing Administration but will pump out the drama hoping to convince otherwise. Save the most egregious of crimes, it will continue to run cover for the Socialists’ agenda while pretending to care about the Constitution.
Fortunately, there are FReepers who take the time to lift the veil off the face of this bogus journalism.
I see no problem. Remember the press is our enemy. The American presstitutes are not our friends. They thrive on any thing that destroys our country.
I think of the US Marines landing on Somali shores only to find CNN there in the way disrupting operations with their trivial blather and bright lights.
Such it is with the gulf. They have long lenses that should be good enough .
My reaction is screw ‘em all.
Oh, and Happy Independence day.
I see such responses from many "rational thinkers" -usually they are on the political left. Somehow such people consider their opinions superior and when dummies such as myself disagree they resort to name calling.
LOL!!!!
Get over yourself...
I also want a map of the lizard people.
Normally I would whole-heartedly agree, but with the secrecy shrouding everything associated with this oil spill, you have to wonder if there could be some sort of half-truth in something like this?
If you would have told me two years ago, that I would lose much of my healthcare, pay exorbitant carbon taxes, and my country would abandon one of it’s closest allies, I would have laughed you out of the room. I don’t put anything by these people.
I call BS. My little PowerShot S10 can take extremely good close-in shots from 65 feet.
This is just media whining, primarily. They want total access and total control at all times. Our rights can be limited and curtailed... but never theirs.
No I agree with you. The media has no business being near the Coast Guard skimmers etc.
I realize now that the left is mad at this administration and they’re looking for things on him.
I think we’ve hit the tipping point.
They can’t stop the oil leak, and he escalating, in their eyes, Afghanistan...
You have no idea how much the Communist Regime will not accept opposition.
Sestak, Black Panthers, letting US rigs be seized by Chavez, the Floatilla...on and on.
What a lot of people do not understand is that we are no longer a representative Republic, we are a Kenyan-Chicago Banana Republic run by a hard-Left Marxist.
Imbedded troops are OK, but bad press on Obama will get you jail time.
Wait until his Civilian Force (Brown Shirts) is as powerful and well-funded as the military (his words).
This guy needs to be stopped.
Cooper wants to find out what Larry Sinclair knows...
Thanks for that link.
Once the government gets hold of it, none of the ROVCAMS will work.
Regardless to whether they are NASA rules at the launchpad, or COAST GUARD rules for dealing with safety and security involving a bunch of numbnuts reporters, ships of all sizes in a confined area, miles of booms which can be destroyed by same reporters, they are dealing with an area at least the same size if not bigger, and more potential danger.
All the Coast Guard is asking of the media is that they call and get permission before they make any such attempts.
The only 'info' being suppressed is that CNN and other MSM have been hiding the truth from the public. It's been available to the MSM this whole time.
The Coast Guard doesn't want boats running over the oil booms on their way to the beach.
I'm not either because I don't understand how the Coast Guard's writ runs to dry land, being concerned, as they are with navigable waters.
Yeah. At the Lake they have the Boat Patrol. You'd think their writ would stop at the water's edge. I assure you it does not.
The Coast Guard's 'dominion' has been extended to the beaches as they are the 'front' of the oil cleanup effort.
Again, this whole thing is a diversion from the real issue, which is that the Government and BP have been lying about the amount of equipment being used to clean up, and the media is just NOW getting around to admitting it.
Thanks, Andy, Navy Vet and UCANSEE2 for your reasoned responses to this and if this rule only applied to water then it would be completely understandable. But as Amused Spectator points out, it applies to beaches, too. And though it’s true that 65’ is just as easy to photo on land as on sea, the lack of any clear-cut security concerns on land make the ruling seem more like the beginning of a serious clamp-down on the story. I could be wrong; the reasons to keep gawkers back from the beach might be just as compelling.
As for Cooper, I agree with everyone here who say he’s a putz who doesn’t care about Free Speech only about his own personal privileges.
No doubt, but a 65ft standoff distance does not stop anyone from inventorying the amount of equipment.
I am fully appraised that there is an oil spill, it is a godawful mess, it isn't getting better quickly, and the administration has jumped in with both feet without a clue what it can actually do to make things better.
What part of transparency is 65ft obscuring?
it’s kind of like the 18 1/2 minutes of blank tape......it’s the cover up.
Useful fools . . . among the first to be jailed when the hammer really comes down.
