Major environmental and liberal groups are pressing President Barack Obama to play a stronger role in crafting climate change legislation and shepherding it through the Senate, claiming their members are "deeply frustrated" by inaction to date.

But global warming = longer golf season.

They are growing impatient because he hasn’t changed the seasons like he promised! (or shifted the earth’s axis, altered the ocean’s tides, darkened the sun, contacted aliens, etc etc).

The enviros thought this would be their day in the sun; instead they're getting hammered.
And now their Gore-bull King is about to be exposed to the world as a sex freak.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer crowd.

“Climate change” is over. The scam has been exposed. Americans won! I suggest the “environMENTALISTS” check with Walmart or some fast food places for REAL JOBS!

This was posted in response to the Hill story, by "A," and I think it bears repeating:
The goal of the administration's energy plan is completely wrong...The problem is the national security threat and economic nonviability of importing one billion dollars a day of crude oil for transit fuels. The solution - and the only viable solution - is to shift our transit fuel to domestic natural gas. We can do this now, and we will wish we had done it now when China's 10% annual growth kicks with the next global recovery pushing crude oil far past the previous $150/barrel and gasoline far past the $4/gal mark. Throw in a pending showdown with Iran over its nuclear weapon development and it could get much worse without a domestic transit fuel. Both events could happen within two years. Meanwhile, our Congress and President - who are supposed to be visionary and protect us - are chasing C02 molecules down for arrest while ignoring the 800 pound gorilla in the room.

Is there any group that is happy with Obama? Off hand I can’t think of a single one.

We can decrease America's energy consumption, carbon footprint, food requirements, and water usage by about 50% within 24 hours.
If Democrats would only commit mass suicide, all of our problems would be over, ours and theirs.
Come on Democrat Party, you know it's the right thing to do.

I recently found an article that suggests natural gas supplies may have difficulty replacing transportation fuel here:
Why Natural Gas Vehicles Won't Decrease Oil Dependence, Part II I haven't really checked to see if the article holds water, but thought you might be interested in forming your own opinion. Be sure to read part I of the article. I am currently reading a book called "Gusher of Lies" that argues that energy independence is not possible, nor even desirable. So far I'm through the first chapter and it is well documented, so will have to finish it to see if it makes the case.

These are weak attempts at retaining leftist support.
The big over-hauls that the enviros hoped for are just not happening.
And the longer they wait, the more the public will get informed, and the better the chance that the energy companies will come back stronger than ever.
